It's wonderful that Peter revisits older material and can give songs new treatments,and with different instrumentation. "Afterwards" being a case in point here. Of course Peter can play all the songs he's written on either Guitar or Piano, that gives him the Self-sufficiency, and leaves open the scope to collaborate with the fantastic coterie of Musicians in, and around Van Der Graaf Generator. The legendary Violinist Graham Smith featured prominently here. Wonderful performances these. 🎻🎶💜🎹🎤🎶👌

Betrayed , from the album, Over, remains one of my favourite Peter Hammill songs . The hurt he felt at being betrayed by his best friend is laid bare - and he pulls no punches. Fantastic song .
