Very perceptive Peter and thank you as usual. I look forward to your KZbin videos. This weekend’s scripture starts with “Can a blind person guide a blind person?” (Luke 6:39). We (Disciples and those that are not) are spiritually blind and therefore extremely susceptible to the deceptions of the Evil One as you say, particularly when we try to follow one another. The only way to avoid those deceptions (which are so entrenched in our current society particularly) is to have the eyes of Christ which can only be done when we die to self. As Disciples, we are on a battlefield and we are in a spiritual battle of perhaps epic proportions which is why we need the Holy Spirit alive and active in us more than ever! Come, Holy Spirit!😀🙏

Thanks for this insight Peter, I found myself contemplating when I woke up today, about the evil spirits and the battle I’m having, then this thought came to me, instead of this, seek the goodness found in Jesus, and leave these other things to themselves. Then I find your video confirming this, and grabbed my Catechism to look up 398. It IS hard, so many distractions. Take Jesus advice, he is the way, put down all foolishness of what’s out there, and follow him, by seeking HIS goodness.

At Fatima, Our Lady showed the children a vision of Hell and said that many poor sinners go there because of sins of the flesh. In the order of sins, it's not the worst, if we are talking about basic weaknesses. But this talk is helpful to understand that the sins of the flesh of this time are of arrogance and pride and self importance in believing that we have the authority to redefine our very being and redefine the nature of marriage. Pride vs humility are at the core and pride has been and remains the deadliest sin.
