Poor Peter was near the end of his tether by the time he filmed this segment, though he kept his looks better than most washed-up stars and never lacked a resident bimbo. Ahead of him lay the twilight of game shows and made-for-TV movies. The movie-set scene with PL and Jimmy Durante is from Esther Williams's 'On an Island with You'. Peter's best period was just after WW2 in films such as 'Easter Parade' and 'Good News'. He never got over being expelled from Sinatra's Clan.
