I think that is one of the clues that will help MJ remember. I think she even has her drawing of Peter still on her wall at home, too. You can see it when Peter and she are talking on the phone. Genius MJ will put two and two together. There is even foreshadowing. MJ firmly tells Peter before he passionately kisses her good-bye, that she will, "Figure it out." She also has a look of deja vu on her face immediately after Peter leaves her coffee shop, with tears in his eyes.

The ending of No Way Home looked similar to the changed reality in the comic book One More Day where Peter and Mary Jane weren't husband and wife ( just strangers ). Then issues later they get back together again so maybe the same will happen with Peter and Michelle, although not in the next film since Peter did let go of her for a reason, so that her and Ned could be safe, never have to look over their shoulder everyone danger is nearby because of him.

I love that she sees him. Watching the first movie knowing that she's MJ, you see just how observant she is and how much she pays attention to him. I feel like people don't like how they went from little on screen interaction in Homecoming to liking each other in Far From Home, but I think that's a side effect of the blip. To lose your mentor, then lose so many of your classmates to aging up 5 years while you were gone for a second, and then realize who's still there would hit you hard. I feel like after realizing MJ was still there, he realized how much he liked her cuz the possibility of losing her had been real.

Peter & MJ should get back together in SpiderMan4. The scriptwriters did a great job of foreshadowing for that in NWH. They have genius MJ tell Peter that she'd "Figure It (their relationship and his being Spider Man) Out."
