Just wanted to say I ordered your book Woman in the Wilderness in 2018 (I don’t even remember how I heard about it, probably on google) and it changed my life, I’ve rebought it the multiple times I moved and shared it with other women. You are my idol 💕

Wow Miriam! What an amazing video. The scenery is breathtaking, Must be so nice to walk around there. It's great to see Peter in good shape. All the animals seem to be in complete harmony. The topic of the talk is deep and I had to listen to it twice to get the point. You'll become very wise listening to Peter. 😊 Happy week ❤❤

Thank you Peter and Miriam. I think Peter's use of the world "story" is confusing me but I find it intriguing. As we age and develop wisdom I think we refine our thoughts and ideas, collecting pearls together, and we use our words to indicate meaning clusters that are like chapter titles to us. The words are pointers or indicators to a whole understanding or "meaning system". A lifetime of experience and reflection and contemplation lies behind these symbol words. I am engaged with this myself now as I near my 6th decade and I'm not sure I would even try to communicate it to others! 😂😂 - probably not worth my time or theirs! But I am grateful to Peter for trying and sharing and your videos are just beautiful Miriam and incite longing in me for a more natural physical environment than this city in which I live. Please keep it coming 🎉

Lots of very good ideas, nothing to add... Thanks for sharing! Great editing Miriam, I love little breaks, the zooms on small details sort of like experiencing the present moment and anything else is irrelevant.

Through enquiry we can become aware that we have a story, and as we become aware our emotional attachment to our stories begins to disapate. Awareness that we think is the key to living a peaceful life. Why? Because when we become aware that we think, our thinking becomes in service to us rather than we being in service to our thinking.

Maybe i dont need to understand because i cant or dont + as long as i tread as gently as i can amidst the craziness, thats the best i can do? Would love to hear more of his thought processes tho, huggzz

wonderful , graspable articulation Peter. Thank you. Rugged individuals have always been a threat to the system I think? And schooling helps to learn that out of a person. So much undoing needed in life. I love that cat!! And the fiesty wee snake is wonderful. (I hope it still "is" and isnt a was? - I struggle to accept the death my cat causes ).
@miriamlancewoodinthewild4 ай бұрын
The tiny snake kept charging at the cat. Eventually we took the cat away. I think the snake is fine. The cat does catch a lot of mice in and around the house though. That's his duty, you see. 😊

I'll allow myself to write a little this time: If I was supposed to extract something out of this 12 min interview, it would be him saying that nature is not a part of our story. In my opinion this is a huge problem. Maybe even the core problem of the world we live in today. More extreme weather conditions are to be expected in very many places, and why? Higher temperatures in the sea and in the air. Climate changes :-)

Just as behind every watch there had to be a watch maker, so behind the intricate precision of the Universe there had to be a Planner and Creator..... even a young child can see that. The possibility of this Universe having "happened" from an "explosion" (the theory of the big bang) is as far fetched as the possibility of a dictionary having been brought into existance from and explosion in a library.....

... religion is something else, totally different. Religion is created by Mankind, as a way to put rules into place for totally unruly and not-good people and as a way to try to make sense of things.... ending up in more confusion, at times (though rules are better than the chaos originated from bad and damaging behaviour, for sure)
