Honestly, i think this is dumb. Look at the bigger picture if a girl calls you immature in this context. Let’s assume you’re an adult and have a stable income. Who would you rather have raise your kids? Someone who dedicates themselves 100% to their work or someone who has hobbies that still embrace their inner child like trains or legos. Do you think your future child will like their father to be all about money and work or do you think theyll like spending time with their father who has interests they might find cool? My father would technically have Peter pan syndrome and he was obsessed with star wars, star trek, toy soldiers, legos, etc. so when we spent time together we were able to bond over something we both liked. He loved star wars just as much as me and that made him the coolest father in my eyes.

I've been married to a "petter pan" 20 years, we have 6 children. Our oldest is 23. Petter is 45 years. There was an entervention for him to seek help tonight or he leaves the family home for good. He can change but he's got to want it to the fullest ,period. To say the least keeping these behaviors and habits going has had a riptide effect on the whole family devastating truly. If love and family is what you'd like someday, get hooked up with a therapist that knows exactly how to help you. Hes been in council for 5 years off and on with little tools gained but not because they haven't been given, he's just not mature enough to except that there's a huge situation that will be eradicated very soon. It’s not just adult responsibilities but also and foremost behaving your age and maturing mentally and emotionally. It’s fine to act 16 when you’re 16, but not when you’re in your 30s, 40, 50s and beyond. Why would anyone think that you have the capability or capacity to have any adult relationship with anyone who has actually grown. We grow because we want to, it doesn’t mean you can’t be child like…. Just not childish. What a major turn off!
@MedicalCentric11 күн бұрын
@MT-uf8xh You make a very insightful point! Maturity isn't just about taking on responsibilities but also about emotional and mental growth. It's natural to have fun and be playful, but as we grow older, it's important to balance that with maturity and self-awareness. Acting immature or childish as an adult can indeed be off-putting, especially when trying to build meaningful relationships. It’s all about finding that balance between keeping a light-hearted spirit and embracing the responsibilities and maturity that come with age.
