You said it .. especially when many ears are keen for sensational speeches and heightening of emotional feelings. RC Sproul is serious. John MacArthur is equally serious. These are the teachings that can be trusted in this age. It's a tremendous blessings to have their teachings! From Singapore.

Hey I have a question, in my family my older sister goes to a different church and me and my father, mother go to a different church as we live in different places. Due to some occasion related to my sister's baby we arranged a little gathering with lunch. But the main pastor is from the church where my sister is going. So we invited all people as well as the pastor as a normal guest, where me and my family going. At last main pastor didn't come and we proceed with out him and when serving food we asked out pastor to pray. But he didn't pray. Now is it right for him to not pray.

Are you by any chance in India Raj? If I am understanding you correctly there is no reason whatsoever for the pastor not to pray even if it were not the church he ministers to. In a gathering such as the one you described any mature Christian male can pray. If your father is a Christian even he could have prayed for the group. No one person has greater importance than another in the body of Christ. It is very common for the pastor to call upon any church elder or mature Christian man of good standing with the church to pray when we meet. We don't ask the ladies to pray because the Bible forbids women to take those kinds of roles when Christian men are present. No matter who prayed at your gathering, as long as they were Christian and praying to the one true God of the Bible, you can rest assured the prayer was heard. Every single one of us has direct access to God. Jesus accomplished that on the cross. Do not be worried that you need a special holy man of some sort to talk to God on your behalf. He hears you just as well as He hears the most godly person you can think of. If I understood correctly it was your pastor who declined to pray. You should be able to ask him directly why he didn't pray.

In Genesis 1:26, who is God speaking to when he says, “Let *us* make man in *our* own image, after *our* likeness?” He is talking to the same being that is in John 1:1-3, and that being is Jesus Christ. It is explained in John 12:49-50 that Jesus speaks on behalf of the Father from the beginning to the end. After God gave Jesus life, which Jesus explains in John 5:26, God then put all power into his son's hands; this is why Jesus said “all things are delivered unto me from my Father” (Matthew 11:27). In John 8:28, Jesus tells us “when you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he and that I do *nothing of myself,* but as *the Father has taught me* I speak these things.” Jesus has the Father’s gift of life in him, for they are one (John 10:30).
