Can only imagine how long it took to film some of his scenes with everyone breaking up laughing. The funniest scene in my opinion had to be the one where he played the (nearly blind) dentist who came to the castle to pull the tooth of Dreyfus....when he sniffed the gas and both of them were laughing - you could tell they were REALLY laughing....and his nose disguise was melting...laughing just thinking about it!
@Meowbay Жыл бұрын
@@cw2256 Wow it must have been over 40 years ago since I saw that, but now that you mention it I remember it vividly. I remember our entire school was parroting his ridiculous french english pronounciations at the time. His lines were all famous laughing material, even everywhere in Europe, it was globally understood, strange when you think of the language barriers it crossed. Even the french laughed their asses off at his lines.

And the worst thing about it was he had heart problems back in the day and he had a heart attack and back then man not everybody survived their heart attacks ot to my back in the 60s didn't nobody back there know anything about CPR they didn't teach that s*** until about around the '70s and the school system and the fire departments in the United States at least will train in that technique what happened was in Los Angeles that had a lot of unemployed Vietnam medics running around and do the fire commission said damn I know a way we can put these out of work medics to work we can help each medic train as a fireman attached to every fire station in Los Angeles so when there's an injury we ain't got to wait on no ambulance and that's how the word paramedic got studied it all got started in Los Angeles and then later they started training cops in paramedic techniques I don't know why cuz cops are not interested in saving lives taking lives not saving and that's when the TV show emergency came on TV and started showing the wonderful feel of paramedic medicine and it caught on like Wi-Fi in the United States and Canada Mexico and then Europe started copying from us and we sent in paramedics to Europe and Britain and New Zealand the teach them what paramedics really were all about and it's been that way ever since even in f****** Saudi Arabia

Undeniable and unparalleled comedic genius. His poking fun at the French language will never be equaled. When he passed I was young, but the loss of him has never strayed far from my thoughts. Don't know if he's studied by young comedians, but he should be. I could've never kept a straight face or stayed in character while shooting a scene with him. In this dark and at times overwhelming cruel world, what a blessing of talent to distract us from bad times in life he was. Mr Sellers, we still miss your brilliance.
