We used to think. "Cool, 2nd gen punk bands have tattoos", and off we went to Saints in Portobello or George Bones. Now, even accountants and librarians have nice tattoos while we've got faded splodges. I loved GBH, Exploited, Peter& The Test Tube Babies etc, but looking back, I now listen to 1st gen punk by choice - much better music. 2nd gen is now just good for psyching up to - not as good as 1st gen and not as good as modern punk. Still, once in a while, it's good to get nostalgic and remember the old gigs.
