Too complex. Must be listened in total. Ok, here is my try: often people's decisions are based on their conviction, which can be true or false. They are using shortcuts to find the truth and see what the future brings. They listen to others instead of using their owns mind. Peter says about thinking for yourself, breaking through conviction. 17:22 What do you think the future of education looks like? summary: Peter questions present educational system and shares his idea about the future. He compares education system to the Catholic Church and it's attitude on the eve of the Reformation. People treats collage diploma like a salvation prevents not going to hell. 19:42 What are your daily habits and routines? summary: Peter is trying to talk with the smartest people he knows for a long time having sustained conversations, what he found is leading him to learn everyday and expands his thinking about the world. 20:32 What one thing would you most change about your-self or improve on? summary: Peter looks back to his younger years. "What do people agree on merely by convention and what is the truth." Questioning assumptions. Looking back to the future is an interesting notion. Also not mentioned in this interview but found in another context is the concept of leanness. How does one create something in the most streamlined elegant way being mindful of the efficient use of resources? Finding something unique to pursue and focusing on it. I got a novel idea once from one line in a book and decided to pursue it because it was never done before.

11:15 Really struck a chord with me. As a vegetarian I meet this denial mentality all the time. People just believe that there is just nothing to do and your an idiot even tough medical research shows otherwise. I think about that a lot, and it can really make me sad at times, that people respond in that way.

Medical research doesn't show that vegetarianism is better than a healthy diet featuring both meat and vegetables. Most studies which seem to show an improvement in health factors are concerned with people who decide to switch from the standard american diet (SAD) to a vegetarian diet. Obviously this will improve their health since they are rapidly replenishing vitamins and minerals as well as losing weight and discontinuing inflammatory fats and other toxins. However this does NOT prove that not eating meat is healthier, it only proves that vegetarianism is healthier than the SAD. In fact there are studies which point out that meat eating is healthier than vegetarianism. As for Veganism it's definitely unhealthy and there are multiple studies pointing to choline, copper, b12 and zinc deficiencies associated with veganism as well as studies that show that vegans don't have a lower incidence of heart attacks or cancer compared to people on healthy diets that including meat. It is important to note that vegans also eat some amount of meat due to autophagy. P.S. I was a vegan for 6 months, vegetarian for 10 years and now I am back to eating meat again. I know what I am talking about.
