Anytime I hear him talk, I'm convinced he's lying. I would be willing to bet a body language specialist would take one look at his glistening face, constant stammering and shuttering, and grabbing his leg and trying to fold into fetal position at 2:02 and agree that he is desperate to hide something. The way he answered that question woth all the stammering and trying to disappear physically...he was lying through his teeth.

The blockchain has not been hijacked. Its upto people to use the base layer as its available. Bitcoin is being used by traditional finance. its just people are lazy and allow big companies to hold it for them like black rock with etfs which is coinbase custody.

If your decentralized network (BTC) is threatened by mass adoption, it is the network's fault - not the adoption. The ETFs can monopolize BTC price movements perhaps, but the network in its current form is decentralized. The utility of bitcoin is decentralized, the price movement not so much. Run your own node, cold store your BTC. This is proof of anti-monopolization. Further the stupid statement by Peter at 1:50 or so that the FBI would rather criminals use BTC than 100 bills is an argument FOR BTC not against it. It's a feature, not a flaw. The 3 ledger system (buyer, seller, blockchain/public) is a feature not a flaw and protects the network and makes BTC an acceptable currency for nation states to adopt.

First Bitcoin was decentralised currency outside the system, now it's got a derivatives market and is embraced by the system because Bitcoin holders ran to Wall Street chasing a higher Dollar price so now it's captured and centralised, turns out it's not as private as was first made out either, not great currency any more either other cryptos do it cheaper and faster, Then it's definition narrartive changed to it's digital gold an asset you just hold and enjoy the hedge against inflation, I wonder what it will be next?

The problem with some libertarians is not the philosophy, but that they try to find meaning in it. It actually provides no meaning. It only provides the prerequisite for finding your own meaning in life, as opposed to others dictating it for you. BTC is the same way. It is not a savior. It provides a way, for those who take refuge in it, to preserve the value of their capital in a way that involves no counterparty risk. What they do from there can be as conventional or as counter-cultural as they want, but you still have to live in the same society as everybody else. It is amazing how little of substance Thiel says here considering his reputation. His critique seems to have more to do with that fact that he is now culturally and economically as far away from being a cyber punk as you can be, though he may have fashioned himself that way in the past. He is the one who has changed, not BTC, except for its price.

I respect the work you put into your videos. I find it really baffling that all the major crypto KZbinrs are only looking at pure waves and completely ignoring the broader narrative of why BTC is pumping and why the future outlook may not be as optimistic as it seems. It's kind of irresponsible to note the fact that every ETF launch so far has caused a major spike in BTC's spike. Already on shaky ground with historically low volume and near pure whale pumps, we narrowly avoided a simple bear market........ I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 17Bitcoin in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Milton Harper, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
