“I didn’t see very much that’s for sure…” don’t know why that made me laugh.. Going down is definitely worse than going up.. shudda stuck the jandals down your shorts😆… how was paddling in the wind? Hopefully it was a tailwind… the little guys in the boxes were pretty dang cute 🐧😁… nice vid as always and thanks for the views! Safe travels!!

Hahahaha you know what... that's such a good idea why didn't I think of putting them in my shorts 😂 well I guess it was fun fetching them on the descent at least. We've continued our research into Thailand it's looking very doable as of right now 🤔

O n paddling in the wind was tough... a lot of it was head wind so we weren't really moving a lot of the time 😥

@@SeoulMan2020 I was excited about this elite visa but you mentioned the word pricey. So in my head I'm thinking maybe $5000 or something... Went to check just now and it's like $30,000 nzd per person and $50,000 for a couple. Hahaha ok hard pass unfortunately.

@@PeterandYen definitely pricey… the one I was considering is around $15,000 US I believe…. Just depends where life takes me I guess.. figure I’m not taking the loot with me when I die so might as well eat myself silly 😁

The main thing I took away from this video is that Peter is in really great shape! Lol I felt tired just watching this one, the scenery was gorgeous though it's definitely on my list of places to visit now.

😂 I'm trying to hold it together for the camera. Pretty sure after this day yen n I were just couch potatoes for the rest of the day. Been looking at houses in akaroa 😅 the area left quite the impression on us.

😁 almost the entire trip was awesome weather. We were so lucky since there was a cyclone in New Zealand just a few weeks after. Stay safe where you are too 🙏

Hahahaha that ended up being a lot of fun. The worst part was being so disoriented up the top cause there were no paths. My internal GPS is non existent 😂

Hey guys! Croissant before kayaking sounds awesome! Haha. Yup when in French town, have to get a croissant :D The view on the way to the kayak was so beautiful!! 😍 Really awesome kayaking experience guys! So jealous you get to see penguins and seals.

It was such a beautiful drive! We definitely couldn't have gotten there with our rental coz it needs a 4wd on those roads. The wildlife were so cute and awesome to see in their natural habitats ☺️

They are really cute ay.. we got a closer look at them in Timaru coz they come right up from the shore to the rocks at night 😍

The beginning of this video already shows us the adventurous video is ahead of us. I have never ever tried a savory muffin, to me, muffins are always sweet. I need to try a savory muffin, this is urgent! Peter, there's a huge cut that can even be seen through the camera hahaha...that is something we two would have done though hahahah The penguins are so adorable! Peter is a pro on the kayak! We are impressed! Love handmade stuff, always try to purchase handmade and local, family businesses. You are our hero Peter! We would have died after the kayaking but totally worth those views😍😍

😯😯 never had a savoury muffin? They're great! Especially if you get a hot one.. with some yummy salty bacon and corn in them kinda thing.. hot enough to melt butter is the best 😊 Hahaha ya I was like what are you doing Peter?! 🤣🤣 Oh my goodness so glad Peter did the brunt work.. I was pretty unco with holding the camera and vlogging while trying not to drop my paddles.. or when rowing trying not to drop the camera 😆🤣 local and handmade is the best 😊👍

Yooooooooo i didnt know new zealand had penguins , always thought they were only around the antarctic area , really cool experience! Also The kayak skirt sure was “interesting” aesthetic wise 😂

Hahaha yes first time seeing that skirt for me too 😂 worked great though. New Zealand has quite a few rare penguin 🐧 species 😉

Amazing vlog guys, really enjoyed this one! Those skirt things are amazing I always get soaked when kayaking so that would have come in handy. The penguins in their little homes were so cute! It was adorable how one of them was trying to hide under the other one

Haha it was the first time for us wearing them.. normally we just go without 🤣 I'm not a strong swimmer and I'm pretty unco (yen) so was just thinking please don't tip over coz I'll struggle to get myself unplugged 🤣🤣🤣

That looks like a great conservation tour to see the penguins - so good to be able to see them from the sea and get closer to them on the land too 🐧

Yes it was! So cute to see them. It was during their molting time though so they had greyish feathers rather than their usual cute blue ones 😊

This a great spot to visit, even if you don't go kayaking. The views going in and the Penguins near the homestead are very interesting. But with a kayak on the roof rack, there are so many spots on Banks Peninsula you can drive to and go exploring, bays and sea caves. Magic.

That's such a great idea kayak on roof rack! You could even drive out and kayak to see the dolphins 🐬 We had a rental Toyota corollal so wouldn't have been able to drive out cause the road was recommended for 4wd.

Heck there's some stuffing locations in the South Island! Ah Peter always thinking of food! Oh Yen you must have breakfast my friend! That looks an amazing kayak across the harbour there and amazing views prior to that! That's yet another thing I will have to do! Always love waterfalls! Sad the other trek up to the second waterfall was a dud! Glad you're all safe though! Another great job!

Yes! The South Island is absolutely stunning 🙂 So many beautiful places! Haha I've rarely ever had a proper breakfast since my late teens unless we're in Asia then I like it more there 😅 otherwise yep usually just an "up n go" breakfast drink for me each day and I'm good 😊 Lolll that second waterfall was such a fail but Peter enjoyed his lil random mini adventure 🤣👍 Thank you! Hope you'll enjoy tomorrow's vlog too 🙂🙌

A full fun day, love to be able to get out there to kayak soon and hope I am 65% of Peter's strength as my wife will have to help out 😅. With a visit to the conservation and say hi to the cuties. Thanks both for another nice Sunday vlog and the scenery!

Arrrg you know how long I've been wanting to kayak :( lol My grandpa had kayaks back in Raro. We used to take it down to our family beach and go kayaking with friends and family! Good times! Omg how small and adorable are those penguins. They're adorable! Also Kevin's such a lovely tour guide guy and very enthusiastic! Theyre doing such an great job too keeping the penguins safe from all the predators and having sheep to play their roles as well. Awesome job Kevin! Omg going on the journey to find that second waterfall :/ what a climb.. also coming down looked so steep and scary lol great job Peter! Also Yen, you made the right choice not going up there lol Ahh such a beautiful adventurous day for you guys huh. Thank you for sharing and I cant wait for the next vlog guys! Have a great week! :) x

😯 that sounds like such an awesome memory in raro... must be so awesome taking the kayaks from your family beach. When we were in raro I really remember the day we went kayaking too. Afterwards we drank Pina coladas at the beach until night time and then went for a swim at night with all the fish jumping up... magical times. Miss that place a lot. Yes Kevin and pohatu penguins r awesome. Made the final day a blast 🙌

@@PeterandYen there's nothing quite like NZ. The unique weather and vegetation of Aotearoa are impossible to reproduce in other parts of the world. Your water is coloured differently, your plants look different,... Enjoy living there!
