There's like a lot to choose from them, (I can't mention most of them though) like K/DA's songs: Pop Stars, More, The Baddest, I'll Show You, Villain, Drum go Dum. Also try reacting to Everything Goes On by Porter Robinson which was a theme for Star Guardians 2022, but what I would recommend is try the past years' worlds theme. 🙂

Fun fact: the plot of this music video is that the band has been blacklisted by the execs of the industry so they broke in to flim their own music video. All the effects are drawn onto the film itself. Most of the shots are done with Yone's camera drones but occasionally you can see shots from other characters such as when ezrael was shooting k'sante in the chariot scene.

I freaking love this reaction. The big reason i absolutely love this song is because of how adept they were at making all the beats and melodies and harmonies fit together. The two spots that i absolutely LOVE are in the chorus, the 2nd time he says "death of a rockstar" you can hear this kind of dubsteppy high pitched eeee uhhh that fits in so perfectly its almost hard to notice. The other part is during the final chorus after the break between "pop off" and the final chorus you can hear the other singers like a little "hey yeaaahhhh" in the background of the chorus that makes it feel soooooooo smooth.

Great reaction! Really interesting insights and analysis. I have to say, if I weren’t a fan of Baekhyun I never would have seen this and that would’ve been a real shame. This is a BANGER. I was not expecting for the first part in the song🔥 the low base is crazy, Cal Scruby is awesome you should listen to his first collab with LOL in ‘Run it’ his raps are straight up fire! I now appreciate two characters who didn't sing in this song. The two characters that didn't sing are Aphelios and Yone. The swimming guy, aka Aphelios, is the band's composer. He is mute but really loves music. Yone, the mask guy, is the producer, DJ, and mom of the group. The one who glues them all together He is the genius producer and DJ who kind of hit the creative art block after True Damage. The opening rapper, Kayn, is a rebel and industry pariah. He is basically a pop music prince who destroyed his last band group while simultaneously destroying his own reputation. Ezreal, the one who sings the vocal chorus, is one hit wonder guy, kind of like Justin Bieber when the Baby song was released. One of the two buff guys is a boxer fighter named Sett, basically a mommy boy who uses his fist to deal with anything. He destroyed his last music career after he punched paparazzi before he joined HEARSTEEL. Another buff guy, K'Sante, is the most normal guy in the group. He's a kind of soft-spoken buff guy who's really into gyms. They were basically misfits and outcasts who didn't match each other at all. KDA is a more professional idol, in my opinion. HOWEVER, HEARSTEEL is more like a bunch of guys with dreams and ambition who just enjoy what they have in common, which is music. After listening to your review, I now see how much music engineering happens in the background. How important are the composer, producer, and DJ to this song. Not just singers, they also highlight these important people and give them character skin. Yone for the producer and DJ, and Aphelios for the composer. These faceless people deserve respect and representation.

He's voiced by Baekhyun, a member of the k-pop group EXO. Which is a super big deal (see all other comments) he's a huge star in the k-pop world. K'Sante, tall man with braids. He's voiced by Tobi Lou. I don't know much about him outside of this song, but he sings the low harmony of the chorus and the bridge. Sett, buff dude with the cat beanie. He's voiced by OZI. I don't know much about him outside of this group either, unfortunatly. Yone, tall samurai with blonde hair. He does not have a voice, he is Heartsteel's producer. Aphelios, blue hair, wears a purple mask. He also does not have a voice (there's a lore reason for this one), he is Heartsteel's writer/lyricist. Hope this helps! What you're calling a 'bridge' is actually called a pre-chorus. As far as I know a bridge is never played/sung more than once, so in this case the only bridge would be at 15:56.

Very nice breakdown, ty! The LoL music is very much rooted in kpop - featuring kpop artists, including Korean lyrics, embracing genre-mixing and contrasting voices, singing and rapping. The previous LoL group, K/DA (POP/STAR, The Baddest, More, Villain, ) is billed a "virtual kpop girl group" and features two kpop artists, Soyeon and Miyeon of G Idle (I'll Show You has four members from Twice). From Heartsteel there's only Baekhyun, but he's basically kpop royalty - part of EXO, EXO-CBX, and a solo artist. He's also in SuperM with Taemin, who the sidebar tells me you recently reacted to. His voice is so much more interesting and lovely than you get here. Like you said, production on the chorus is kinda intense, not really meant to highlight a vocal. The K/DA songs are from the same producer (Sebastien Najand) so you might enjoy those too. Also _strong_ recommend looking into Baekhyun's music!
