Personally, I love Kayn's opening verse about how he climbed up from the bottom and now the world's watching him. It suits his personality as a cocky punk and is backed well by the chorus of how everyone is a jealous, a critic, or hoping those at the top fail. Marcus Skeen wrote a song, 'Lost in Silence', for the in-universe composer for Paranoia, Aphelios. Aphelios loses his voice and Skeen writes him a song about the the crumbling of his aspirations and the loss of his voice.

Hey just so you know, the reason for this song not being the Worlds anthem is likely because Riot is doing a similar method to 2018's POP/STARS release. Basically, POP/STARS was not the Worlds 2018 anthem. Instead, RISE was the anthem and POP/STARS released as K/DA's debut single before their first live performance at Worlds. So, GODS is the anthem this year, and PARANOIA released as HEARTSTEEL's debut single before what will likely be their first live performance at Worlds 2023 later this month. The "anthem"s are usually the songs that are more focus on the actual story behind League's competitive players.

The one thing that kinda hit me with this song and made it like WAY better than any other song riots made before is the subtle things about it, I dont think ive seen anyone mention this after watching a ton of reactions but one thing that stood out in an amazing way about this was that because every build-up to the chorus is different, it feels like every chorus is different, like every chorus has the same words, but each time it gets to the chorus its almost like a complete tonal shift which to me is amazing and it all builds off of the individual parts, I feel like you dont see that really. With a lot of bands its like theyre all in sync and trying to sound the same, but with this its like they WANT it to be 4 different styles and that makes it that much better for me. Especially as someone who just likes any music thats good regardless of genre.

amazing commentary and reaction! and you were spot on, the story of this video (they're champions in the league universe, as many explained, but this is a "what if" scenario that league likes to make), is that each one of them tried to get in the industry but were asked to conform, like you said, to sing and write and direct what companies wanted, not what *they* wanted. so in an act of rebellion they break into a studio and do their own music video exactly the way they feel like doing it (there are a lot of key frames that even indicate they drew over their video, as if they edited their own video). The creation of this is amazing from an artistic point of view is AMAZING and the amount of details put in this is top notch, and you captured that without knowing the story of the video! you just gained a new follower

When u compare this song and Gods u need to take into account what the song is about. Paranoia is definetly better as a song, but definetly is not an anthem that would get u hyped up. And Gods was made specificaly as an anthem and the main charm of that is also the music video that is just a cool animated video to you and average people, but to league fans that follow the Esport scene its a whole story of Deft and has a lot more meaning then just a simple music video. Oh and just on the side note about the live show. Those are done the day of the finals at worlds. The worlds are still playing and the finals are on the 19. of november. So u can enjoy the live show on that day.
