The song is about the desperation you feel when you need people to see who you really are but it seems that no one is listening at all. Which makes you feel alone and imprisoned by your own thoughts.

Co A’tin and casual fans, I know music is a universal language and SB19 is great in conveying emotions in their ballad songs but if you are recommending non-english songs like ILAW, Liham, Tilaluha, Hanggang sa Huli, etc (if without english subtitle), please remember to recommend to non-Filipino video reactors to watch the lyric video (with subtitle/caption) so they can better understand what they are listening to then follow it with a Wish bus or Round Festival or Rappler live performance. Some reactors I see always jump right away to Wish bus performance and saying that they don’t understand what the song is about because it was recommended to them.

If you know anyone with wishbus, please ask them to add subtitles.

Josh's part was purposely breathy because that part of the song is supposed to sound like he's going to cry. But, you're right. Josh is better in a higher range than lows.
@lailabunoan95076 ай бұрын
Agree, it was intentionally breathy because Josh's part was the part that started building up the crescendo, followed by Justin, Ken, Stell and the classic line of Pablo, "Sino?"
@Eva_Reyes6 ай бұрын
This! You can even hear Josh's voice sort of "shivering" towards the end of his line, implying someone who is crying while speaking. Like you are feeling so emotional that you can't help but have a shaky voice.

Their vocals really are awesome! Powerhouse of such great storytellers. Love of this song! Among the five of them My fave voice talaga is Ken’s followed closely by Pablo though all of them are really great singers. It’s a matter of taste and preference. Sabi nga to each his own. Of course no one can deny Stell’s lovely voice, Justin’s soothing tone, and Josh’perky voice…. Just that I am such a sucker for unique voice tones like Ken’s.😊

I'm 9 minutes in and I'm really amazed that you've mentioned yell quality type of singing very often because the lyrics of the song talks about being unheard, like pleading to be heard. It talks about even if they shout, they're still unheard. Wow!
@PeterBarber6 ай бұрын
That’s so powerful - I wish I could’ve seen the translations
@JPNMahalima6 ай бұрын
@@PeterBarber Yeah! The lyrics are very powerful. They have a lyric video on their channel with English captions. Thanks to your explanation, I now understand why they sang it this way. Especially with Pablo, I felt his desperation to be heard with the way he sang. This just proves to me that they're indeed story tellers.

What really strikes me every time I watch it is not just the heartfelt lyrics but how they harmonize. Their voices blend beautifully, amplifying the emotional impact of the song. Watching them live brings a whole new depth to their music and truly highlights their strong connection with the audience. I haven’t visited here in a while and the Mmm Count is new to me 😂 Love that addition though, it’s so fun. Stell and Pablo are so interesting to listen to back to back, I agree. Their voices have so much contrast but are also so similar in range. Though sometimes they can also sound the same and it’s a trip. And your observation about Ken-he does get a lot of the emotional, gritty build up in their songs because of the quality of his tone. But the best part of every SB19 song for me is whenever all five sing together and you get all those layers and harmonies. Really enjoyed this reaction/analysis!

17:43 That's definitely low for Josh. I love that he's the one who sang that part tho cos it gives more of that "very down feeling that you just wanted to cry" (w/c is the needed emotion for that part )than if Ken or Justin (yep Justin can go low)did it. Aside from the vocal abilities, their line distribution is also always on point.
