Italian super model
@billymattox63334 жыл бұрын
Nice detail, except that is a Detroit 60 series engine, not Caterpillar, or Paccar. Nice model though. I'm building a pro street GMC Sonoma, I'm using parts from 4 different kits to build it.

Thanks for the compliment. Soon I will start an iveco stralis, I will paint it pearly white.
@ratscoot3 жыл бұрын
I have the same kit. The manual is wrong about painting the engine yellow. The right color is called Detroit blue and it has a aluminum valve cover.

I love this! Quick question please. I normally build 1/35 armour, but have just bought my first truck/tractor. Do you keep the chrome of the kit, or strip and paint? Thanks
@GeeWillikersMan3 жыл бұрын
Keep the chrome, you can't match it in paint. Strip what you intend to paint. I soak the chrome bits I want to paint in ammonia for a few minutes - it literally disappears.
@AntonioMaggioSnake2173 жыл бұрын
Hi, you can redo the chrome if you want, dipping the sprue in ammonia and then painting them with a black glossy base and then chrome alclad II. But in this case I kept them original, filing a little and then retouching them with the Molotow brand marker which is really fantastic!! Sorry for my English ;-)

Awesome build. I like the details that this kit offers. I'll have to see if I can get my hands on one. Your video makes me want to build one for my collection. Is the overall paint airbrushed or rattle-can applied?
@AntonioMaggioSnake2172 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the compliments. The kit is actually very nice. The painting was done exclusively with Paasche Raptor airbrush

What paint did you used to paint the engine?
@AntonioMaggioSnake2175 жыл бұрын
I only use tamiya products either with a brush or with an airbrush
@rodmack46825 жыл бұрын
Unit looks good only thing I would of do was paint the engine in its true Detroit 60 series colors

Detroit diesel is green, EatonFuller is black
@diagnost_gitarist3 жыл бұрын
Engine is not looking like CAT. Its more looking like Detroit Diesel 60 Series. So - the yellow color on engine is a little fail i think... The same about transmission.
@AntonioMaggioSnake2173 жыл бұрын
I looked at some photos on the internet over as well instructions. But then I decided to customize the colors of the engine
