What a beast of a truck! We have similar clay here in SW Georgia. That white/grey is what's called Fuller's Earth. It's what kitty litter is made from. As a matter fact ,Oil Dri Corporation has a large open pit mine here in Thomas County. Thanks for the great video.

One thing I have noticed about TDK is yall always try your best to keep the road in good condition. I have delt with several logging companies who do absolutely nothing to take care of the road, and they end up leaving loads of wood on the ground due to not being able to get it out. I miss driving log trucks. Thats a good clean load of tree length and great looking equipment. I agree. Let the dozer do the work pulling the trucks to good ground. Them trucks work hard enough. Ground stays nice and trucks stay rollin to the mills.

Hauled off a lot of jobs. That every load was a job to get out of. Even one right off Bear Creek on pickwick lake. We had to be pulled up the hill. Then the 748 skidder would winch us back down it. Couple of trucks ripped out stuff. But they were also trying to get in by there self. No reason to kill a truck, when you have something doing the work for it.

Love your Videos .Here in eastern canada they pull or push trucks all the time .Constant Battle with Mud or this time of year snow and ice .I have seen my buddy have to chain the skider to the back of the truck for breaking power on the hills covered in ice needed more traction skiders here run chains year around .My outher Friend crazy Jimmy Jones rolled a year old wester star down a bank last year and wrote it off.He wasn't hurt outher than his pride

Steel culverts don't need a whole lot of coverage, 6-8" is usually enough. Plastic pipes on the other hand need at least 12" and more preferably 18". 100 mile rock haul is pretty amazing! I flinch about having to haul it more then 15 miles and often times we are hauling excess rock away when building roads.

I dont know how long the roads been in but i have always been told you loose almost 2 inches of road material every year from traffic so maybe at one time the road had several inches more of material. The material looks like what they have in champlain valley lots of clay there as well but we have plenty of gravel pits to get road building material Have a good new years . 👍👍👍

Im a New Subscriber To Your Channel And my parents were in the trucking business for a very long time, Along with a lot of my other close family members had trucking businesses as well and cutting fuel cost was important but keeping the same power or increasing it was a part of it as well... I've already watched a bunch of your videos over the past 3 days or so and I don't know much about the logging industry but didn't realize the amount of diesel fuel alone that your stuff would have to probably use each day but I figure it's quite a bit
