The city is on the skids, the downtown core overrun with the homeless and derelict. Take a drive down George. See for yourself.

Hi Rob, thanks for your insight. I am a bit surprised with the homeless situation. The day I visited I did not see much homeless people. I think I only spotted maybe like 2-3 tents. Spetacular video, very visual! there's one thing that's not quite right though. @2:05 you imply that the Lift Lock was built in 1833. While parts of the Trent Canal system might date back that far, the Lift Lock itself was actually opened in July of 1904. It wasn't the first lock but it was the first lift lock in North America and, to this day, ramains the tallest in the world. Oh, yeah, @4:10 that big building, the Quaker Oats/Pepsico factory was kinda overlooked but it's still a pretty big thing here.

Without the greyhound bus services, you will need a vehicle for escape once you realize what a tragic mistake moving to Peterborough Ontario is.
