Many thanks for this new backstage session. @Bec: Many thanks for assisting in this session and for supporting Ana as well. Your presence in these sessions is always a reminder that an assistant is a critical role when there is a Model in front of a camera, and even more, in front of more than one. I don’t know what you are waiting for … you must start recording with your own camera; you know the human eye very well. @Ana: you are an brilliant Model. I know this session is not about poses, but the ones where you are laying on top of the (pseudo) bed, with the fingers of the hands that are going to be intertwined, are amazing (e.g. 6:48-6:50). @Peter: these photographs must be in BW, they are a really good example of the impact of BW in the brain.

Hi Peter. It was great to see you shoot with the Leica SL-2. I have one and several other Leicas (M11, Q2 Monochrom, & CL) and enjoy their simplicity. Have you tried Leica’s Thambar-M 90 mm f/2.2 yet? I just picked one up and it certainly wouldn’t be confused with a clinically sharp lens. The excess spherical aberration can be tweaked with both the aperture setting and an included central spot filter. I’ve only started testing it with landscape shots thus far, but it looks like a fun lens. I’m looking forward to using it in portraits. Do you use a Really Right Stuff Quick-release plate with a cable anchor on the SL-2? I didn’t on a Nikon D810 and the cable socket on the camera failed quickly.

3:05 oh dear, 'editing" things out at all?! LOL! One of the photography forums I _was_ in, a talented young lady posted a few shots she'd taken and _ASKED_ for some constructive criticism. I told her the shots looked great composition wise, but in one really close up shot the subject's eyebrows had a couple oddball stray hairs that well, looked ODD and out of place! I suggested a bit of Photoshop or even plucking them with tweezers and some crazy old never-been-loved bat pops out of the woodwork claiming "how DARE you body-shame!"?! Ummm sorry lady, but you're using big strong words, yet you've no clue what their meaning is! And besides, the photographer _asked_ for honest professional opinions! FYI lady, body shaming is about degrading remarks about things you _can't_ change without exercise or surgery, not something you can pluck or shave in seconds... I bet you don't like bearded men either do you now? BODY SHAMER! For some reason her own medicine made her quite mute after that?!🙃
