Eric Schmidt is best known as the CEO of Google from 2001-2011, including as the Executive Chairman of Google, Alphabet, and later as their Technical Advisor until 2020. He was also on the board of directors at Apple from 2006-2009 and is currently the Chairman of the board of directors at the Broad Institute. From 2019 to 2021, Eric chaired the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence. He’s also a founding partner at Investment Endeavors, a VC firm.

I have a question. Remember the Stuxnet virus? What if an AI learns how to infect computer systems this way? They can remain undetected this way so even if you unplug them how do we know they haven’t jumped to other systems?? Great Program BTW. 👍🏻

Wonderful session. Thanks, Peter and Eric. I find that most people who fear a future with AI are fearful of AI unintended consequences of its deployment and application. Are there AI projects that can understand and describe unintended consequences of different AI applications? Seems to me that the exploration and description of unintended consequences, while never perfect, is right up AI’s alley.

That's because Erics Google whitelist their advertisers, somehow the whitelisting results in 50%+ of scams. But trust him, making it hard see in Google Search what are ads protects democracies... The difference between an autocracy and a democracy is the centralization of power and he argues for the already very powerful government to control even more.

Wealth people need to pour money into designing new cities to generate exercise Use robots to build up and monolithic designing fascinating vertical landscape that only be accessed by walking. Young and healthy live at the top , catch slides to the bottom etc etc. . A contract stipulates rules , no airdrop food supplies etc. Build physical work and parks into the landscape so body chemistry gets worked. Be creative.
