Feel that... buy a net and get a cheap sim. It has helped me a ton with staying consistent. Its hard to work on your game when there is no consistency. Hit em straight brother. Keep putting your kids and wife before golf and I think that's cooler than playing scratch golf. Cheers.

I’m a 19 h/c and found the Titleist TSR1 to deliver the best results for me in my fitting last week. Tried several (TM, PING, MIZUNO) but for me and my swing, the TSR1 was the one. I hope everyone gets fitted and go with the one suited for you😃

agree, got a fitting last week and best thing i ever did. ended up with a Mizuno ST Max. I probably play off about 16-17 and handicap never came into it. It was just the only club that i felt got back to the ball with the least effort for my swing speed. Others were too heavy.

I went out on a limb and ordered the Ping G430 Max 10K after watching your video, reading a million reviews and taking the Ping online fitting…… Played 2 rounds so far (In Norway) and simply can’t describe how impressed I am with this club and the level of confidence it gives me off the tee. Simply amazing, low spin, controllable, long and forgiving. I’ve cranked it down to 8 degrees, as I have no problem launching it in the air. (5HC)

Honestly if you guys are 25+ I wouldn’t buy a q10 max. I think it would be a great idea to get a forgiving driver but get a slightly older model, maybe used, and work on your game and used the money you saved on lessons. Callaway preowned site is a great place to look for used clubs that are basically new. You also gotta be careful buying a forgiveness based driver sometimes if you hit the ball hard as they increase spin rate for the most part and you’ll hit the ball a mile high and lose distance off the tee.

I’ve played golf since 1984, my Titleist TSR 2 is the best driver I have ever had. Just love it. Goes long. And very forgiving. I’m a 4 hcp. If you haven’t tested it, try it out.

Still gaming my Callaway GBB Epic Sub Zero. Went for a three wood fitting a couple of weeks ago as I lost my three wood of 15 years. 😢 and I tried a few drivers when my fitting was finished. Still nothing beating the GBB SZ in 2024. Some longer but not by much, BUT not as forgiving, some more forgiving but losing too much distance. All the major companies are selling the same driver dressed up differently the last 8 or so years. All the smaller/cheaper brands have now caught up because the technology has stalled and they can make the same club for a lot cheaper.

Still gaming the gob subzero👌.. even bought a few of them in really good condition so I’ve got a few if i ever need it .. already cracked one head so onto the second already,.. and if distance and low spin is what your looking for there isn’t a new driver that’s came out that can hang with my gbb epic subzero iv got mine on a hzrdus green (hulk) shaft with a tour strong adapter on it so I’ve got a 9 degree head down @7 degrees .. heavy weight at the front … and my big chunk golf pride jumbo grip …. Carry it about 290 consistently

I've built my own clubs for 30 yrs, and I've used drivers from less that 300cc to 460cc, with and without movable weights. I've found the shaft to be the most important link in this process. When my swing speed was consistently around 120 mph in my mid 30's, I found an Alidla HM40XX shaft was best, and used it in 3 different clubhead designs. At 64 yrs kf age, I recently built a new driver, still using 9.5° of loft and a shaft with less torque, and a higher flex point, and I am averaging 250 to 260 yds off the tee, and I can hit a controlled driving power fade, which is my shot shape preference. I've taken my "custom" built drivers into several places to compare with the high dollar brand names, and my speeds, spin rate, launch angle, etc are just as good or better with the clubs I build for less than $150 vs the $300- $500 drivers. On at least 4 occasions, the person working with me in the club comaprison has asked to swing my club for themselves, and then want to buy me driver from me. Practice, spend time on the range learning to consistently hit the ball with a consistent shot shape, and you will score better. This is not a promotion post to downgrade brand name clubs. I actually use a Taylormade 3 wood that I've not replaced in 10 plus years because of how well and consistently I hit it. A $500 driver is not going to correct a poor swing.

I’m a 13 handicap (Gold tees) and currently play a Tommy Armour Max driver. It is adjustable and very forgiving. When I was looking for something new, I came across someone at my local golf club who was hitting one and let me hit it. I hit it straight down the fairway every time with a little distance added. I ordered one from Dick’s thinking for only $200 (new), it was worth a try. Been completely satisfied with the club, and have the satisfaction of knowing I didn’t have to pay $400 or more for a new driver.

80's generally. Just changed from my Mizuno stZ 220, which I loved. But, I just put the P 10K in the bag and am thrilled. It was always going to take a hell of a club to bump my Mizuno because imo, it is the most consistent driver I have ever owned and more than long enough. That is exactly what Ping delivered...one hell of a club.

You mentioned the one driver with a massive weight in the heel. I remember as a kid, my Dad adding lead tape to my driver for exactly what you described. I'm 65 now and life is getting harder. I absolutely believe using all the equipment advantages a person can get. I am using a 5W on a lot of my drives for control and consistency on tight fairways. (score lower by keeping it in play and on the short grass). I finally accepted the thought of senior shafts and am now at an 11 handicap (from the old man tees). Excellent content in this video!!!

I have tried the G430 Max 10K and there are 2 big benefits: 1) shots seem to be more centred in the fairway 2) the sound is much better than the G425 Max. However, price is a big deterrent as it's nearly $1,000CAD after taxes... so I'll keep the current club for the foreseeable future.

I am still playing my old TaylorMade R7 Quad driver that is 20 years old. I am looking for a new driver, so this should help, but I still hit the TM fairly well, so it will be a good experiment.

Last driver I had was a Callaway mavrik and was set up for distance, with a softer shaft and lower spinning 9 degree head. Went this year with a telephone pole Denali black 6x (for me a telephone pole at least) and a spinning Callaway ai smoke max head in 10.5. Was able to retain all my distance while gaining an absurd amount of dispersion. I haven’t missed a fairway in my last 18 holes!

Breakfast balls, mulligans, free lifts, hitting OB balls without penalty, fluffing the ball and on and on. Golf is hard and a good score has to be earned not created.

Another great video. I am an 18 handicap and currently gaming the 2018 Callaway Rogue. My average distance is about 235, and just recently gained more control over the direction of shots; however, I still suffer from the dreaded issue of topping it and it goes less than 100 yards. I've never been fit and as much as I can appreciate the tech and forgiveness in the Ping G430, I just do not like the turbulators. My eyes get drawn to them and since I set up closer to the toe I don't think I would enjoy gaming that driver.

I have an aggressive transition and a tendency to hit the ball too high. Love the G425's forgiveness better than the Stealth 2's distance

12 handicap, just got rid of the TaylorMade Stealth and picked up the TM Burner Mini. I am biased because I love my 3 wood and the Mini is the same shaft length, so its the same swing as the 3 wood (huge confidence boost), it also reminds me of an old school 2 wood (I am pushing 50 years old, so a 2 wood is a throw back). I gained 20 yards over the Stealth, because my misses aren't as bad.

Using the Stealth 2 HD driver with a UST PROFORCE V2 HL regular shaft and love it and am a 7 handicap at age 59 scores last year ranged from 71 to 86 depending on the course my home course was 71 to 81 for scores cheers from Canada

I used to shoot a varying and inconsistent round between 100 and 110. I got fitted with Ping G425 irons and Ping G425max driver. Now I`m shooting low to mid 90`s and I just love the off centred (most of my drives) help down the fairway

I am 67 and play to a 10 handicap. Lots of scores around 80+/- a stroke or two. I game a Ping G430 SFT which I was fitted for and love.

Hi Pete, I've just recently really gotten into golf and am slowly working my scores downtowards 100. (I don't go fishing anymore so needed another hobby to spend ridiculous amounts of money that I don't have on😂) Used to play casually years ago with a set of MaxFli clubs and loved loved them but left them in Australia before moving to Ireland. I have been playing with a cheap set of Stinger STX clubs i bought on special and I never know where the drives are going to end up! A mate recently lent me a Taylormade RBZ and bugger me, I have finally found out what a draw is. Only been hitting it at the range but finally feel confident behind a driver and can't wait to get out for a round when, or more accurately, if, this rain ever stops. Love the show mate and also swing quest. I reckon you've helped my game come along a lot quicker with all your tips. Cheers.

Great video, fairly new to golf so don’t have a handicap at the moment. Looking change my driver, I as I picked one up cheap when I started. When I had a driver lesson a few weeks ago, the coach said I had a driver suited towards low a handicap player. I have been and was really struggling with getting any loft into shots with10 degrees. He grabbed a Mizuno with 12degree of loft and the a Stealth can’t remember what loft that was set to. said try these was blown away, by how much higher and further I was hitting them. Yes I still need to work on my swing, but if I make this game a little easier for now, I’ll take it until I have improved.

I played ts2 them tsi2 now a tsr2...im so used to it and wouldn't have any other driver. But I also have played titleist for over a decade. Noone beats vokey wedges or scotty putters imo. For an avid golfer they are great investments.

14hcp here. I went in for a fitting this year and after trying the new drivers, I walked out with Ping G430 max10k. Was playing Cobra LTDx prior.

12 hcp. I use a PXG Gen5 0311 6.5 60 hzrdus yellow or g5 0311 XF x stiff tensei at raw white depending on course and how my game is. I happened to get both drivers new, for very low price. It’s fun using both and seeing how they compare. Both are 9 degree heads very different shafts, but both were fitted.

Went from a TSi3 to a G425 Max and now I find almost every fairway. The difference is amazing. Distance isn't everything.

20 handicap, I bought a qi10max after a fitting originally for a g430max to replace my ping g driver which I loved. I've only been able to use it at the range so far as my course has been closed due to the weather every time I've booked to play 😂

I'm a 13 handicap and just bought the Qi10 Max with the Ventus Red 5 shaft. I'm older with slower swing speed. The Qi10 just beat out the Ping for consistency in the Club Champion fitting.

G430 max owner here - i know its not the one in the video technically but as a 8.5 handicap, its incredible. Could I get more distance from a different driver? Probably.. but the 430 max offers (for me) the perfect blend of distance vs forgiveness. Most courses I play, if you can pap one down there 240 to 260 yards, you'll be in wedge range. Keep it in play with a gentle swing and youll be laughin. If there's no trouble and its wide open I can still put the gas on and take one out past 290 on occasion. Its the only "tech" upgrade i've really made in 15 years and it was worth it IMO.

Started playing during covid. I found a 12* Taylormade R580 XD Max for $4 at goodwill. LOVE this driver. I shot in mid 90s.

just got home from a fitting and ended up with the new cobra darkspeed max... a fantastic driver that has given me 15-20 meters more than my old driver which was a ping g425max.. not that ping was a bad driver but the wasn't the longest.. and I play with a handicap of 12.8.. and my miss has always been foooore right... that's why it was the max that won.. and my normal score on a round is 85 give or take...

78 average and a 3.5 on the index, got a Titleist Tsr3 9degree in the bag currently. Great club that can easily be drawn or faded as needed.

Interesting. I haven't played a "new" driver in many years. Still hitting my Calloway Epic Sub-Zero's and I still love them. I can still out drive most people on the course (at age 62). I really don't see a need to get another driver (have a whole garage full of them). I really don't think I would get any more distance or playability out of anything else. But, these drivers do look great!
