Hi I am using this car 1.8E. 12 years now still runs sweet, in thailand all taxi during 2006-2018 using 1'6 many of them touched million km. at 6th or 7th years, engines are still ok no problem, 12years old second hAnd car still selling 5,000$ (millage around 200,000 km.)

I have a crazy memory when me and my family with two kids took a yellow cab, a Toyota Corolla 1,6 sedan and the taxi-driver drove 130-140 km/h from the Airport to the central Bankok. I put my kids on the floor in the back seat because there was no belts:) The taxi driver told us he was #1 😂

Hello and thanks Dr. Peter Finn! I have a Corolla 2001 year with 1.4L vvti engine, and I have changed the engine two times, and I followed your series. Now I have access on 1.6L engine. Do everything fit with the enginemountings, and what about the break system? Is it compitable with 1.4L version of Corolla? You are a really good car doctor. You should start courses! =)

Trancemaster Onyx nothing really exept normal wear parts. I have one now y reg . for 4.5 years and just replaced rear brakes . its really nice car to drive , ok its basic compare to modern cars but enjoyable to drive .

always check the oil level when buying toyota cars cause they tend to burn some oil which is normal for vvti engines but some owners don't know about this. If the level is too low when buying the car you can conclude that the engine has seen more wear than it had to and it's better not to buy such cars. they are lovely little cars suitable for short trips. I love mine and I never had any problems with it. extremist cheap and low maintenance and good fuel economy. Very easy to drive too.

i just tryde it and for some reason my toyota carolla 1.6 vvti stops my power at 4000 rpm... i feel how power drops when i reatch 4000 rpm, feels like something shuts down power to acceleration pedal but when i release acceleration pedal a little bit it getting better, i dont have problems when i do it on netural gear, only when i drive, otherwise i never go above 3000 rpm, i do love my toyota :) its my first car, i take care of it :)

Hello Sir, I have a 1993 Corolla like seen in many of your videos and it has a problem in its acceleration. It is very slow in acceleration. It is very difficult to get out of service roads to main roads as it is very slow in acceleration. I have watched many of your videos. I added the injector cleaner, STP oil treatment and also changed the plugs but there has been no significant change to the acceleration. And if I switch on the AC then it becomes even slower as it takes some power from the engine. Please help me with this. I have showed it in many garages and all of them just say that it is slow because it is an old car. I know its old but no one tells me where the problem is. Kindly help me find the problem so I can solve it.

my best car, had e10 sedan for 6 years and i sold it :(:( i can tell you if there will be nuclear war that will be only car still working after fallout, I had imported from japan, quality of this car there is nothing no other car, that 95 model i had, engine sounds like zero fighter aircraft, all my firends who had audi, bmw, honda, was shocked how lovely is engine sound when you put some power, I just to help my friends collecting them many times and drive them in hurry to air port for holidays as they german or france cars died in middle off road ;0, I just to change schocks, brakes, olis and filters for 6 years even no bulb went off no oil consumption if you can buy that car as a youngtimer do it , i hada great bodywork no rust at all....
