Very fine tips Peter. Thank you. In the late '90s I was working for a company in Hollywood, USA, that prepped vehicles for film and print, mostly ads. One of my first days at work they brought me the next year's non-convertable Mercedes-Benz and a reciprocating saw as they wanted a shot similar to yours at 13:35 of this video. LOL!

Thanks, old boy. I've been doing a lot of thinking about this little channel over the last few months, and I realise I need to lean into this topic a lot more. After all, not many people on KZbin will have photographed the iconic 80s cars when they were first launched - like the F40, R32, E34 M5, NSX, LS400, MX5, 964, SL500, RX7 Turbo, Supra, Diablo, and more. I love cars, and I love landscapes, so driving and photographing cars in the landscape will likely be my thing from here on. Except when there's no car to shoot, them I'll be very happy shooting the landscape on it's own. I'm really pleased to see you making decent headway, now. I honestly believe your channel can become one of the premiere US-based landscape photography channels over the next few years, and compete with the guys from the UK. You've definitely improved your storytelling, presenting and editing skills significantly over the last year.👍

I think auto photography is your niche. Agreed, I think you should go for that! As for my channel, I’m not sure what the future holds. I hope to see you on the trail one day.

Thanks Peter, will give these a try. I for one am glad you made it down safely! 😊 Any tips on shooting cars at a car show, when they are parked close together?
@peterfritzphoto4 ай бұрын
Fun times, for sure! Car shows are really hard for three reasons: car placement, lighting, and obstructions (people). If you can figure out a way to get access with the press (before the general public), that can help with the last issue, but the rest is tough. If you can appeal to the organisers, you might also be able to see the cars as they’re delivered and set up in the venue, which usually happens a day or two before the opening. If you publish your images anywhere in the media, that certainly will help with credibility.

Anyway, my experience with a camera is an I phone. I feel I’d like to try something a bit more adventurous, I.e a real camera What would you recommend as a beginner camera for $500 to $750 etc if there is such a thing. Advice appreciated.
