I only have very limited space in my apartment, no garden, no shed, no garage, just an uncovered balcony and some space in the apartment. But I've always wanted a shaving horse. And I knew that it had to be possible to make it more compact somehow. That's brilliant, thank you so much for that! I'm very happy to have stumbled across this video by chance. I'll definitely recreate the project!

Outstanding! Brilliant idea. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Your willingness to share your knowledge is as appreciated as your design of "The Hersted Shaving Horse"

Thankyou. That's clever and elegant. My kid got an apartment, and needs compact equipment. She can modify this design to suit her circumstances. I have more room, but it still looks like a great project to try out for myself.

Thank you, this is just what I need for hand making drawbore pegs, small chair stile repairs, and various other small tasks. I don’t have space or genuine need for a full shave horse or really even a bench version shave pony. This is perfect 👍

This is brilliant, Peter. I am just getting started in spoon carving and don't have the room for a shave horse. If I can recreate yours it will be perfect for me. Thank you so much for sharing.

Pete, you're a scholar and a gentleman. Thank you for sharing this great invention of yours. I too, will be making one with near certainty. Whilst your English is a billion times better than my Danish, I will help you out by saying that what you called a nail to hold the legs of the horse in, is actually called a bolt. And I believe you used "screws" to glue and screw the to part together. Thanks again. New subscriber just because of their great nature and presentation style

The nail, was in fact a nail acting as a pin. The glued pieces would be called dowels.

Excellent video and concept. I was wondering what is the measurement for the piece at the front with the leg holes? What is the hole spacing for the leg?
