So you have another video, working full time from your van - I am curious with running 1-2 computers, 8 hour work days + leisure using for gaming/TV after, how long could the charge last from stock to this new setup in comparison? I guess it will depend also on AC use (personally do not cook much). But just curious if my lifestyle would work in OEM setup or not - Would be driving around to get food and go mountain biking every day to every other day (technically would need to charge my ebike too lol)- and I suppose can just start van and charge it regardless. Thanks so much for your informative videos!!

We just purchased the 2022 Winnebago Revel and the batteries 👎 not enough power for the A/C and cook, and we love and camp 90% of the time in the Southern USA. Thanks for sharing your your upgrade we are just starting to check around on the best solution. Safe Travels.

Hi Philip, Check out RoamRig. They can get you plenty of power to cool & cook. Thanks for watching. See you over the horizon!

Great video, watched it twice now. You talked me into it,I'm buying the five battery system tomorrow.

I’m still enjoying mine and will add the 5th battery soon. I’m finding it liberating to use my AC more and more as spring progresses. Thanks for watching!

I get the added batteries and Roamrig set up, it’s great. I drive a lot, but I did some figuring and felt $1200 for a Honda gen was a better idea. I have a second home in AZ and it has worked well for those situations where I need to have AC while spending time in AZ. Additionally I like the space under the bench seat for a few tools. I switched my bed control out to a button early on.

That’s great. There are certainly many ways to solve the same problem. Thanks for watching.

Hey Peter - Great video. Do you have any information or link to the storage set up you have on the driver's side rear door for your van?
@Famagogo Жыл бұрын
Hi, Yes, I sure do. It's called the Doorganizer by Canyon Adventure Vans here is a link. canyonadventurevans.com/product/van-door-organizer/ It's been a great addition. I still use the stock bungee pocket underneath this and can access out with the velcro. So it's just a lot of bonus storage.

AWESOME video Peter, I am currently in the market for a Revel and found a used 2021 and I’m looking at living in it for at least a year and power is my biggest worry I know roamrig and their systems but you’ve given me a piece of mind for the “newer” 2021/2022 Revel power system from Roamrig and I think it might be the perfect addition for when I eventually do get a Revel so I won’t be worried and the pup and I can have some comfort, especially because I live in Arizona. Thank you for your in-depth breakdown of this system, I really appreciate that you did this. SUBBED!!! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

That's great! The RoamRig system is working awesome for us. The improved alternator charges so fast! I'm getting ready to add the 5 the better too and that is going to be so nice.

Would you PLEASE give a rough number for the cost of what you've done so far? Please and thank you! I'm buying a 2023 Revel and this is the first upgrade I'm going to make and in my opinion, it's the most important by far.
@Famagogo2 жыл бұрын
Oh gosh, That's a number I don't think I want to know. Don't feel like you MUST make any changes. I always recommend people get out and spend a few months living from their vans. Only then will you know what really needs to be tweaked for your lifestyle. The Revel is capable of most anything in its stock form but some modifications can help tune it to your specific needs. I'd never trade the cost of a mod for time traveling. That's what it's all about.

Have you thought about changing your ac to a 12v by Nomadic Cooling?

Yes, I have. But, I haven't gone down that rabbit hole yet. Have you?

Hi there, Currently I have a 2023 Winnebago Revel, originally it came with 320A Li3 battery, can I purchase another same battery to connect it in parallel, and become 640A? Will it mess up the whole system or will cause any damage? Please let me know. Many thanks! Xiang

Possibly, reach out to RoamRig. They have some options for you and can help.

Mmmmm I don’t think so . Battleborn batteries are the best. Also where are the battery warmers and switch that came with the revel???
@Famagogo2 жыл бұрын
No need for the warmers or switches with the Roamrig setup. Thanks for watching!
