I played this set earlier in the week and I thought this set would suit your bidding style and you would score very well. I scored same B1, B2. B3 I played 4N but failed to find your line to bring it home so only 46%, B5 I ignored the convention explanation, used 4C and so ended in 5H-1 for 39%, so now well behind you. Scored 100% on both B5 and B6 with same bidding, same contracts. We diverged on the last two boards. I opened 1C on B7 but elected to defend 2D, scared off by the vulnerability, the doubleton diamond and the knowledge that partner could not have more than 11HCP. 2D makes but that is only -90 and worth 86%. B8 I rebid 4H with that great playing strength and doubled East's 4S save. I didn't find DA lead which beats it by 3 but a trump switch and d2 was worth 89% so ended the set with 78%. Close.

Nice Set! I do think that if you open board 7 then you should pass out 2D, but when I am a passed hand it felt like there could easily be a part score on and they could make 2D and that it is automatic to double if you don't open. B8 it does have fantastic playing strength but I think 4H is more of an imps bid. At matchpoints I feel there are too many hands that you will go down on - but I think my partner basically has a cue raise rather than a 2H bid.

I quit after B1. I bid a Soloway Jump 2H and then down we went.

I can't remember having a good result from strong jump shifts so from now on I am going to try and avoid them.

Tgwnn did a strong jump shift but managed to get to 6h on a spade lead and brought it home for 100%
