I am giddy with glee and anticipation over your Folk album. I'm a Celtic music lover, which lends itself to liking a lot of folk type songs. Peter, your voice is so - perfect - on this song. I've listened to it at least 5 times this morning.

Wow thank you Dannah, I've been very worried as of late that people won't like the folk song album, and it's gotten me down a lot. Mostly just because the songs aren't popular, and I'm doing music that most people haven't heard of but this is so nice to hear. Thank you for those kind words!

Your voice is always so full of emotion it brings tears to my eyes. Music is the only thing I have right now. I'm disabled and trying to care for 3 other disabled adults. Joy and hope is very few and far between. Our house is falling down around our ears, our vehicles are both broke down, and our income only comes in from my dads disability. It barely covers the bills. But your music along with home frees music keeps me going. Shows me that there's still good out there. May you and yours forever be blessed.

I'm so lucky that my voice teacher pulled out this song out of the blue and said "your voice is perfect for this song". I love your version of this, and I hope my own efforts sound at least a fraction as well as this does.

Tormentingly beautiful harmonies in this by the gorgeous voice of Peter Hollens, singing a song whose lyrics are an actual poem written by famous Irish poet Yeats. Thus, this is not a single work of art, but rather it is several works of art combined to create, ever-so-carefully, a masterpiece.

Down by the Salley Gardens my love and I did meet; She passed the Salley Gardens with little snow-white feet. She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree; But I, being young and foolish, with her did not agree. In a field by the river my love and I did stand, And on my leaning shoulder she laid her snow-white hand. She bid me take life easy, as the grass grows on the weirs; But I was young and foolish, and now I am full of tears. Down by the Salley Gardens my love and I did meet; She passed the Salley Gardens with little snow-white feet. She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree; But I, being young and foolish, with her would not agree.

" Flora, Lilly of the West" by Peter Paul and Mary "Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel "The Last Unicorn" or any of the songs from the animated classic, the soundtrack was done by America.
