Peter I hope your channel really becomes something big. There are so many things about air travel that I've always wanted to know, and little by little I'm becoming an expert from watching your vids. On a recent trip from San Francisco to my home in Phoenix, I was able to tell my traveling companion that we were passing Sky Harbor because we were on the downwind leg of our landing pattern. As we turned left I told him we were on the base leg and that we'd soon make another left for our final approach. You've turned me into a pro! Keep em coming and thanks!

I moved from SoCal to that area in Kansas you flew over, it's so quiet and beautiful out here, incredible skies, affordable, friendly people, especially the large Anabaptist population. Plenty of neat history and culture, things to see and do, the Flint Hills are amazing. Hutch is a great city, good breweries, neat Main street. Hard to find a direct flight anywhere out of Wichita, though!

I just watched part 1 and I love your videos. You obviously live in NYC and travel a great deal. Even though I am very well versed in ATC procedures in North America as well as here in the UK, your narration is excellent and adds some spice to information which I already understand and don't need an explanation. But of course there are a lot of people who don't understand ATC and these videos are an excellent starting point as you explain some in depth information in a way that is easily understood. I look forward to watching your other videos. Greeting from Scotland. Fly safe.

Wow, what great views you had out the window. I can't imagine why people take the window seat and shut the window! It is a beautiful world out there. I'm with you, my eyes are always out the window the whole flight (even at night). ...and the Grand Canyon, wow your footage was gorgeous. Thank you.

They'll say you're selfish for spending more money for a window seat and that their sleep is more important than your view. They'll also say they don't care if it's the only time you'll ever fly that route and see that view, and that their sleep is still more important. Throw an eye mask at them.

AWESOME! I had the chance to watch this on the 65" screen in my house that I share with other household members, which was really great for those scenic views, especially of the Grand Canyon! I'm envious of how clear it was as you passed it. Do you recall what the flight level/altitude was at the time? Whenever I see the Canyon from the air, I'm flying between Seattle and Phoenix, so it is at a cruising altitude of 36-37,000 feet. Also it was cloudy the last times I flew that route. I grew up in Arizona, so I got to hike in the Canyon, even all the way to the bottom--yet it never gets old!!! 🙂
@PeterMasella2 жыл бұрын
AWESOME back to you! I just watched it on a big screen too! I don't recall the altitude.
@shutterbugshirlstravels2 жыл бұрын
@@PeterMasella Ok, but I'm guessing you were lower than 36,000 since your flight was headed to Vegas, which is a lot closer than Seattle. Big screens are so cool! 🙂

Just found out that Harry Reid, whom the Las Vegas airport was re-named for, has passed away at age 82. ☹ (Also, I found some photos of mine from 2020 of the Grand Canyon from the air that I'd forgotten about, which aren't too bad! So I enjoyed making a video (slideshow) of that flight.)
