Depending on set up and wind I get around 28 - 31 mins flight time. @frankvee4 жыл бұрын
@@clouds4media496 Proper battery maintenance is the key.... charge only before flights and don't leave charged for more than 1-2 days. Never leave batteries in a hot car. Don't discharge batteries below 3.2 volts per cell, I think this translates to no lower than about 25%. Don't leave uncharged for more than a day or two... and if storing for long time make sure cells are at 3.8 volts each... so if you're flying a Mavic 2 Pro, which is a 4 cell battery that would be 15.2 volts for the the entire battery. Oh, and one last thing, never charge a battery right after a flight, wait until it cools off before charging it. If you do all these things you will not have any issues with batteries bulging on you. They're expensive, treat them right and they will last a long, long time.

@jamesshaeffer-nv4kq4 жыл бұрын
I would say for the number of features this drone has (1/2" sensor, occusync 2, front and back collision sensors, etc.) it is leagues above any other drone at this price point. Currently it goes for $799 but a great value even more so if you get the fly more combo $1000 which includes 2 extra batteries, multiple cable connectors, 3 pack of ND filters. 3 battery charging station, and more. Dji has also made the controller software more intuitive for first timers. Unless you are a professional photographer it doesn't get any better than this. If you are then you may want to look at something like the mavic 2 pro which has a 1" sensor but starts at $1500 w/o the fly more combo. 1 other point to consider is the mavic 3 pro should be coming out soon enough and will even blow the air 2 away. Happy flying :)

@Speak_Out_and_Remove_All_Doubt4 жыл бұрын
I wonder when the Mavic 3 Pro will be out? I do really like the Air 2, the video and photos do look big improvement on the original Air and even in some situations the Mavic 2 Pro but the tracking still isn't quite good enough imo. The Air 2 doesn't keep up with you if you are moving too quickly (like on a pedal bike or skiing or heaven forbid something motorised) and it doesn't have enough sensors (no top or arm/side sensors) to be able to see things coming to reliably move around them like say the Skydio 2 does for example. I'm sure the Mavic 3 Pro will up the anti even on the Skydio 2 but could 6+ months away still. This lack of sensors does produce some creative limitations too beyond just banging into trees above you that it can't see. For example the Air 2 can't fly right along side you to film you because it needs to be point itself a little forward to use it's forward facing sensors to see things coming, so what it does is hangs back and off to the side as a compromise. It still looks ok but that fully parallel shot is way better. At the end of the day the Air 2 is significantly cheaper than the Mavic 2 or Evo 2 or Skydio 2 so it was never going to have everything and the Air 2 does move things along a lot with it's much better designed controller, OcuSync 2.0 transmission system, 34min flight time, improved image quality from the IMX586 sensor, RAW images, 4K60, 4K HDR, 1080p240, and although not perfect the tracking and obstetrical avoidance is still improved. I guess at the end of the day, many people are happy to pay more for a phone every 2-3 years so maybe these aren't too expensive if you think of them in that mindset rather than waiting and waiting until there is the perfect drone with everything you want which my never come because there will always be something over the horizon that would be really cool to have on them. Which is an interesting thought, where will drone development go in the next 10+ years? Obviously things like flight time, image quality, tracking systems, obstetrical avoidance and raw speed will all be natural progressions for them but I think zoom lenses (or multiple lenses) will become more common as they are doing on phones right now as this opens up much greater creative options. But I wonder what other things might get added in the future that we haven't thought of today?

Are you aware of how speed works? if the Mavic Air 2 is as fast as the Mavic Air which has a top speed around 68 kmph so lets say 65 kmph just to be sure, it will then take it 9.14 minuts to fly 10 km so 18.30 minutes to go 10 km and back which still leaves you more than 15 minutes of flight time!

@jamesadamgreen4 жыл бұрын
Spark is perfect if you've never flown before/using it as a hobby. In my own personal opinion, if you arent using the drone comercilly, ie, selling photography, videography for money, then the Spark/Mini are more than capable. If you have the money spare then sure, go for an old Mavic Pro or Air!

I also had this debate, I needed the best drone for creative video shooting, so i asked my friend who used to work for DJI and Parrot (now works for US military) which drone is the best for photography, i was surprised, he told me go for Anafi, and i did! No regret, i can shoot footage that no other drone can, very reliable drone, obviously Mavic has that amazing long range and battery life, which also not bad on Anafi (25 min flying time) i would love to have both, and probably will...
@jeorgepaolo4 жыл бұрын
thanks for the recommendations! i kinda think the mini is the go-to for beginners these days.
@gilean61794 жыл бұрын
If you are like me who will only buy 1 drone ever in your life and avoid the upgrade itch go for this Mavic air 2. I have the Spark from very early on. It is a good drone, small sturdy and if you are not into professional paid stuff it is okay back then.The only problem is the eternal threat of the famous fly away. I am never bringing anything on vacation a drone as big as the Mavic Pros. But that is a very sturdy drone and that will give you more confidence flying in more adverse conditions if that is what you like as I have seen people fly in some windy tropical islands in the Philippines as opposed to my Spark. After A few months I got the Spark, they released the Mavic Air and that was awesome I thought but again I have this mantra to resist the itch to upgrade and the accumulate devices scenario and just to improve my flying skills.Furthermore, the Mavic Air doesnt solve the transmission problem with my Spark. The Mavic mini is just to light I thought that my Spark has been better fighting winds in the lake near my house and again in some tropical beaches. I told myself I will never buy another drone if that Ocusync doesnt show up in a Mavic Air form factor...guess what..it just did.

48 MP camera that's INSANE

Yeah but I think it’s a bit of a gimmick, kinda like the new smartphones with 100mp cameras.

That's a stiched set of images that make up the 48MP image, not one single image.

It’s not true 48mp, it’s actually still 12mp with some work arounds. I bought the mavic air 2 and I feel really cheated by this, since I was specifically seeking a higher mp camera and was the deciding factor for me.

@@joseph-the-seventh no, it’s to capture more detail being that the drone is hundreds of feet in the air .

@@King_Gabriel no it's actually a gimmick it being not a true 48mp camera but a quadbayer

I can’t stop watching this video. The opening scene is amazing. I’m treating myself to one of these Air 2s in the future, in the meantime I’ll keep sloggin’ on until I buy one.
