You’ve been killing it with all these educational videos lately!! Thank you!!

I don’t know how this channel got to 2 mill subs before I found it. Better late than never though. Thank you for making the world (or at the very least KZbin) a better place.

Amazing video! I haven’t done any chemistry since A level but I still enjoyed watching this for the 25% I understood

Thank you professor Dave! For everything you've done on this channel (you helped a lot with my chemistry course). But also for your tireless fight against pseudoscience and stupidity, which in my opinion is well bellow your calibre of thinking or being worthwhile of your energy and time. Yet you still do it, yay for empirical data, science and your representation of it!

Good job and nice explanations! Thanks. One Question: how important is the ortho-silyl-effect on that reactions?

Hi Professor Dave! Any chance you could do more videos on particle physics? I’ve been interested for a while and want to learn more about it

That is of high priority for me, I just have to find the right writer.

Hey Dave!! Just a video suggestion, unrelated to this video but figured I'd comment here since it's your latest video and I couldn't find your contact info - love your videos btw 😊 I know you've basically already done this in a previous video (disproving(or?)/proving the flat/round earth without using science) but I wanted to suggest a new title or idea for a video - something like, "disproving flat earth(or vice versa) using Occam's Razor. I'm definitely no flat earther, and not skeptical of its roundness at all - just want to help debunk the BS. Occam's Razor has always been a key player in my logical faculties and I think that of many others. Just an idea for ya - love from Canada 🇨🇦

Great deep dive into this named reaction, Professor Dave. This is some pretty advanced level chemistry. If I were majoring in analytical chemistry in college, how far into my program would I be when encountering this material? Sophomore year? Junior year? Later? Thanks for the great videos!
@leewiens99122 жыл бұрын
I studied biopharmaceutical chemistry in university and we had this kind of content in some classes in 3rd year and in most classes relating to organic chem in 4th year.
@ProfessorDaveExplains2 жыл бұрын
This is semi-advanced organic chemistry so maybe junior year.

@@aldunlop4622 ;-) I suppose deriving Einstein's Gravity Field Equations are "relatively" (see what I did there?) straightforward, if you've built up the supporting knowledge, right? Yeah, yeah, I know. I should stick to my day job. LOL!

I don’t know if there’s already a Professor Dave Explains on sound and human hearing but I would like that explained to me. For example, stuff like how when we play music on headphones does our brain take those two separate sources and place the drums and bass in the middle of our head. How does that “phantom center” get created. I hope that makes sense.
@ProfessorDaveExplains2 жыл бұрын
Not specifically that but I explain hearing in general in the A&P playlist, the one on sensory perception.

Maybe I will deviate from the topic, but one thing puzzles me, bodies in the sky rise in the east and set in the west, this is the effect of the Earth's rotation. But one star contradicts this and sets in the East. It is visible in the north. Please explain it, because it is strange, but there are so many scientific lectures and practices, and here one star contradicts it. It is not a permanent north star.

Not to be confused with the Jordan Peterson olefination, which is the same, but includes reactionary anti-feminist rhetoric justified by outdated concepts of genetic behavioural determinism.
