You must apply two coats and wait 24 HOURS before water exposure. From Thompson's website.

For very porous materials you are supposed to put up to 3 coats. This worked well enough for only one coat. If you try this again, waiting the 4 hours between coats, and at least another coat you could see pretty good results.

From what i can see in the video it doesnt seem you followed ANY directions! So i definitely cant use this as a good review type video to base a decision off of. If you're going to review something try following the directions. Just a thought...

Lots of review channels subject products to their own specific set of tests, regardless of manufacture instructions, which are usually worthless to most guys anywho 😆 I for one was happy to see what just a single coat would do. As I thought, the product is pretty much junk, and won't stop spills or stains from happening.

Maybe its the way the water was sprayed. If you hose down anything with that much water its bound to get wet. Maybe should have tried the water pour method to see if it rolls off? Thanks anyways!

Technically, he was testing this to see if it could help his outdoor cushions from the rain., which the hose does a good job at mimicking.

With untreated cotton you have to apply LOADS of waterproofing to the extent they the fabric becomes quite stiff when dry

And don't forget, just, because you you see wet spots, that doesn't mean your tent is leaking, it could be from condensation.

The wet spots could be from ereas not fully coated by the sealant

Does this product help for Outdoor Fabric Gazebos. Was thinking of waterproofing it for winter.

It all just depends on the material. Clearly if it's made from the same cotton his t-shirt was made from, it won't stop even bird pee from entering. If it's really good material this type of stuff probably not even necessary. Hope that helps
