Great video. Another aspect of pressure that you sort of touched on but didn't explicitly state is that it limits the decisions that your opponent can reasonably make. Doing that forces your opponent to fight your gameplan rather than allowing him or her to force you to fight their gameplan

I'd also advise for the Pressure to Space Control section to SS into Jet Uppa if they whiff with a fast ish move. 3+4 is great but more often than not it will get blocked if they whiff with a fast move. Situational of course, you might want to use 3+4 to push them where they really don't want to be - the wall
@PeterYMao
@PeterYMao 5 жыл бұрын
Sure, that's an option too (SS into Jet Upper). At the same time SS into 3+4 isn't the worst if it's blocked, we get to re-establish neutral and we don't lose our turn up close. There's merits to both ^_^

Hey! I know this is an old vid by now, but it still feels super relevant and helpful! My only question, if you'll even see this, is I haven't seen you mention d+2 so far. From my experience playing Bryan, d+2 feels like a pretty good option during pressure to stop players from mashing, since it's i14. Plus, there's d+2,4 if you're feeling ballsy lol. It's also only -2 on block so it creates mind games if the opponent blocks it. I was just wondering if there's a specific reason that you didn't include it that I haven't discovered yet due to not playing enough yet. Whether it's a particular weakness like it being linear, or if there's something I haven't discovered yet. TIA and thank you for the awesome Bryan content! Would be awesome to see something like this once T8 comes out!

Hey Peter. At 10:40 you talk about what the best options are at plus 5 and you mention DF2 as the safest option. How about D2 (3)? It's a mid that has a start up of 14 frames and is only minus 2 on block. On hit it's +8 and forces crouch. It also has a mid extension that is delayble, launches on counter hit, but is -10. This seems to be a really good string and perfect to throw out at +5. But I'm new to Bryan so there might be some hidden pitfalls I don't know about. I would really appreciate a explanation for this. Nice guide as always btw

@PeterYMao
@PeterYMao 5 жыл бұрын
What move are you using that allows the opponent to backdash away after pressure? After b+1, hatchet, (1,4) on hit you're opponent should not have enough time to backdash away. If they are backdashing away then the move you are using is either too slow or you're pressing the button too slowly. Test this out in practice mode. You may need to improve the timing in which you press the buttons.

You didn't mention D2. It's 14 frames, tracks right and only -2 on block with the typical unsafe but CH launching followup Bryan's kit is flooded with. D2,3 seems easier to CH confirm than DF2,3 as well and it's only -10 on block if you fail to do so. It's kinda specific but i like to use it if some of these conditions apply: - my opponent can ss hard punish my df2 - he has a fast ws launcher against df2,1 - has reliable punish against df2,3 - has fast CH launcher against df1 check Otherwise another amazing video!

Yeah, sometimes you’ll bounce around, get stuck, move up, move down, it happens. Try not to let rank dictate who you are and how well you are doing. Otherwise you’ll get very discouraged. Focus on learning
