I have to say when stacking photos sequator is a lot more automated and you don't have to register or pick a reference photo it will stack everything for you.

Great video! 👍 While I have done a star reduction, I have also done a reduction of colour saturation In the star mask. Just a tiny reduction, because in the earlier overall contrast adjustment, I have felt that the star colours gets to saturated.

I have struggled so much with trying to process my image on the veil nebula. I can't wait to get home and try your method. I love how you explain what each tool does. I am brand new into this hobby, but also no nothing about photography or editing in Photoshop. I took good images and stacked them in deep sky stacker. Just am lost in the processing.

Try making STARLESS IMAGES in Starnet ++. Then copy and paste the starless image to your star image and LAYER it . Alot of the post processing can be made to pop changing the blending modes in photoshop. Astronomy Tools ACTION SET Is an awesome plug in that does a lot of heavy lifting for you when it comes to post process also.

How did you get 3 minute exposures with a skyguider? I already struggle to go above 1 minute with my RedCat 51. Do you do any guiding and correction for the RA?
@leemus19664 жыл бұрын
I was wondering if dithering only in RA would have good results, can’t wait for your next video!

As the ASIAIR PRO uses FITS format how do you handle this. Does Sequestor or Deep Sky use these files?
@PeterZelinka4 жыл бұрын
I use DeepSkyStacker to stack my FITS files. Sequator cannot use FITS files unfortunately.

Great video Peter! I am going crazy because ALL of the images I take have literally half of the sky dark and the other with like a cloudy film that I can never fix in post processing, don’t know how/why this is hapenning😢

Do you take flats?

Starnet should work it only recognises Tiff files I copy a tiff file into the Starnet folder, then drag it over the rgb Starnet icon. Then it should work....

Very cool, never knew you could push Photoshop this far. You probably have mentioned this before, but I am new here :) Have you ever tried PixInsight? I wouldn't know how to work without it...

I've tried it... I still can't wrap my head around it, so I usually just come back to Photoshop
