That thing sounds amazing!! When you took off, for the first time, it reminds me of sitting on the starting line at the drag strip... side pipes for the win!!

Pete your knowledge of engine rebuilding and repair is extensive and appreciated, do you have any videos of rebuilding 4.3 Chevy Vortex motors and if so what are the recommended values
@PetesGarage7 жыл бұрын
I have done them, but never made videos because I didn't think there would be interest. I will next time.

Hey Pete can you make a video for someone that's looking at getting a motor running and isn't sure how far to rebuild it? It's been sitting for awhile, motor is all together except for the fuel pump on the tank needs to be re done. Last time it ran it would pop threw the carb and not start then some messed with the fuel pump/tank. 89 motor also, I guess what I'm trying to say is what kinda things would you look for on the motor to see how far to take it. Thanks Pete love the channel 👍🏻
@PetesGarage7 жыл бұрын
That would be a really long video, but your problem sounds like a timing problem. The chain either stretched or the sprocket jumped.
@supreme25447 жыл бұрын
Petes Garage I was just curious of things you would look over before actually starting the motor? Compression test, top end things or bottom end thing. Thanks Pete

Hi Pete - I just picked up a Street Beasts roller kit (made in 2006). Your videos are quickly becoming my 'bible' for my build. Do you have any updates, or any new Cobra videos on the way? Btw, I am also a guitar player, for the last 35 years!! Please check out my channel, I think you will enjoy it!! I'm certain that I will be contacting you soon... lol Thanks for everything.

Hello my friend, I have a whole series building the Cobra. The past one will be putting on the trunk lid, then body and paint. I'm going to disassemble the whole thing to paint it, then put it all back together.
@Metalcop51505 жыл бұрын
@@PetesGarage Yes I have watched all your Cobra videos, and am now watching them for a 2nd time!! Just a quick note, when you go to your Cobra playlist, and click 'play all' the videos play in reverse order, from newest to oldest. You can easily swap out the order, in your YT Studio. It will definitely help to get you more views and subs!! lol Please keep the Cobra vids coming, they are invaluable to me.
