@@Nickh4929 of course that’s my takeaway. Unlike most people commenting, I’ve been watching him his whole career, not just the playoffs. He will be fine, his contract will be fine. Yeah he wasn’t great the last couple months but everyone is just freaking out and overreacting.

​@danielnam9026 and the Canucks could have sweept the oilers too there my guy this series was who could break down the opponents defensive structure and that's why this series went to game 7 and you can argue all you want but that's just how it ended up to be it was a good series throw and throw. And you could also say this series could have been different if both teams had a lucky bounce here and there as well.

Doubtful cause according to Tocchet, half the team didn’t know they’re in the playoffs. And the other half couldn’t execute and generate shots. Pettersson was a ghost. Hughes was all banged up from the Preds series. Canucks got lucky it went to seven games. Oilers dominated puck possession, slot shots, xG, HDSC, pretty much all major offensive metrics in the series.

Petterson needs to learn how to elevate his game. Get stronger - stop falling the blazes down - and maybe show the blazes up for the postseason. His lack of production was a key reason the team lost.

we got some AWESOME pieces here right now.....Miller in his prime, Future Hall Of Fame Defenceman/Captain Quinn Hughes entering his prime years, Maybe one of best coaches Nucks have ever had (mad shoutout to the late Pat Quinn) and probably the best 1 -2 goalie punch in the league.... if Management/Owner can make the right moves...the 5-7 year window here looks great....especially with prospects like Lekkeramaki and Willander waiting in the wings on that note cuz i'm curious....who else would trade Demko & Joshua for Nylander?? (rumoured this is being discussed as Leafs need to shake up core group...probably great move for Leafs too) I would, especially now that we know Silovs can perform imagine Pettersson centering Nylander and Lekkeramaki...exactly what Petey needs

You can’t blame the refs if you don’t score on the PPs you get. A 4 minute job should be the game right there. And it was. But not for the Canucks. If they score at least once, they’re tied in the 3rd and who knows what happens in OT. Obviously they missed Brock, but this wasn’t their year. This is the first good season in a decade. It had to end. Fans always want to think their team is the best. I’ve been a fan since 1990. I want a Cup parade down Robson. But I kept being called “not a fan” because I said they overachieved in the 1st half. They did. If they can keep Joshua, Lindholm and Zadorov and flip Hronek for another, affordable D and add a scoring winger, they’ll be in better shape. I like the core. But Pettersson needs to play with a play driver or scoring winger.
