Seeing Petey like this compared to his interview yesterday makes me feel so happy. This is why tocc is next level. Idk what he said to petey but he whipped him out of whatever mental block he had. And nucks fans, see what a little chant can do? Boosted his moral by a mile. I got a good feeling about this boys.

It took about a period for the new lines to get re-acquainted and in sync. Once that happened, good things happened for Vancouver. Edmonton going 0 for 5 on the PP was the game changer.

What a joke the officiating is. How can you get a charging penalty when you are standing still and you get run into. Who exactly did the charging seams like the call should have went the other way.
@tedcity5861

Oil took a penalty I thought was sketchy. So yes, refs are terrible &not just this series.
@Shut6000
@Shut6000 21 күн бұрын
Unfortunately charging is defined as the following: “Charging is the action where a player takes more than two strides or travels an excessive distance to accelerate through a body check for the purpose of punishing the opponent. This includes skating or leaving one's feet (jumping) into the opponent to deliver a check”. From that last sentence, we can clearly see why Petey got the penalty as he jumped into the hit. Its a dumb rule but the refs called it correctly

@@Shut6000 But he was standing still . He didn’t take any steps or strides or travel an excessive distance he was standing still. All he did was brace himself for the impact. Sure he left his feet but he didn’t meet any of the other requirements for a charging call. And he didn’t jump into the hit he just stood his ground and braced himself for the hit. He was run into it was a questionable interpretation of the rule.
@Shut6000
@Shut6000 21 күн бұрын
@@ginkinky the only requirement he needs to meet is one of them which he did by leaving his feet. Re-watch the clip and he does jump before impact

These Zebras should be in minor hockey instead. Such a disgrace being employed by the best league in the world. They have no shame making a fool of themselves and their employer, the NHL. But the NHL asked for this shame, not requiring the employee to be accountable in some way. It just angers the common fans around the league with unbelievable bush league calls, when Petey has no momentum to cause a charge as in physics. These zebras need to go back to basic course 101 in refereeing to keep themselves sharp. Otherwise, they go backwards by making a fool of himself and the NHL. Enough said, the league should upgrade themselves and the quality of the referees in addition to maintaining the high standard required. Right now, it is a joke and a total embarrassment.
