My favorite use of the club feature is to create one with my household sims and have the activities be things like collectable gathering, Gardening Parenting and Cleaning/Repairing. Then they just automatically do the things whenever it comes up.

Wow! There are some great tips here, even for seasoned players. I didn't know about sorting Sim's inventory, that's going to make playing scientists so much easier. I don't know about anyone else, I end up with a bloated an impossible inventory every time I play a scientist. Also six to eight alien babies if I'm playing a dude scientist.

One shortcut that I never used until recently although it's super obvious is just pressing M to travel. I always used to travel via the phone, which meant the Sim had to finish whatever they were doing first. M is much faster (although obviously it can't be queued up, so don't use it before your Sim is done in the bathroom). Also, although the earbuds (from the fitness stuff pack I think?) get made fun of all the time, they are super useful for the multitasking mentioned in the video. Just put on some music your Sim likes and go do all the chores, homework, work tasks etc while gaining fun. Unlike the normal radio, the music (obviously lol since it's earbuds) comes with you.

Re: Work Tones: You can also boost work performance and benefit your sim after work by doing the work tone that matches Needs. If they have low Social, use Meet/Socialise with Co-workers/Boss etc (added benefit that increasing relationship with co-workers helps with performance), if they are low on Fun then use Take it Easy. You can prompt bathroom/food breaks to fill Hunger or Bladder by switching to Take it Easy when they get to Orange/Red - it's not always immediate, but should trigger those needs to fill. If overall Needs are high/mood is positive use Work Hard, but if mood is Fine/negative then use Normal instead because Work Hard will actually have a neutral/negative impact on performance at that time and can give a negative moodlet for stress. Using the method above means the sim comes home in a much better mood and can immediately get down to completing any work task without having to fill all their needs first, so you get more time for hobbies, socialising or skill building after their shift. Bonus points if they have the PH Responsible trait as they don't even have to complete their work task.

The best shortcut in my opinion is pressing f5 in build mode. It enables quarter tile placement, which gives you more freedom than regular half tile placement, but more control than just holding alt. It absolutely changed my life

Ultra pro tip i just discovered (from a Gen19 player). You’ll want to do this in a new save file for optimal results (i just transferred my family into a new save). If you want to keep the default townies intact as you play so they stay exactly the same when your sims don’t know them, but you want random npcs to have changes to them -> Go to unplayed and click neighbourhood stories, set your preferences. Then click each individual townie family and disable neighbourhood stories so they have a custom config. Then turn aging off for unplayed sims in the game options. You can add sims from the gallery to your game and select to unplay them so they will have your chosen neighborhood stories amongst each other. I suggest adding extra families and single sims and career-based sims every few generations to refresh your game. This will also make sure your townies keep their original storyline overtime. This will mean that everyone your sims don’t encounter will change overtime unless you say otherwise. If your sims befriend them and you want to age them, add them to the played section of the game. You can also enable the neighbourhood stories for that particular family so they become dynamic.

One of my Sims recently won the Lottery! I know it's a non-sequitur to this video but in all the time that that's been a thing it's never happened during my gameplay. A million Simoleans definitely makes it easier to move to those expensive lots most Sims couldn't afford without cheats.

That happened to me this year! I've been playing it on and off for about a decade, I play it a lot, and it's never happened to me before. The notification popped up, and it said "Helen Hoffman won the lottery!" And I thought "aw, that's one of my sims! Wait-- that's the sim I'm playing right now. WHAT?"

Congrats! I don't use money cheats, but I always create a painter in each household. They earn so much, so quickly, that it feels like a cheat. It's trivial to complete the associated aspiration, too.

To be fair, Petey, some of these options might not have EXISTED when you first picked up the game -- inventory multiselect certainly wasn't there at the beginning! Though you've convinced me that I really ought to start using it...and yes, using the "form group/add to group" features is a MUST for any party or group outing -- it makes it that little bit easier to wrangle those darn Sims!

When you have a family and are off lot with just one of them, clicking on the small icon top right of the picture of the other Sims allow you to get them to perform some task, like doing home works, tend the garden, go on a date, improve skills... That last one is very useful to improve those skills that are tedious to improve.

Dang!? I`m a player from the first hour on - but I just didn`t realize the trait thing. Thx for that! I will definitely be on the look out from now on. (Just one thing: If you need satisfaction points and don`t want to cheat, then it can be very handy to click yourself through the various aspirations. ;) One often fulfills some of the starting tasks of the aspirations without doing it on purpose, bc they are often very random and so you can gain the points from there.) Keep going! ^^

Then, you need Spa Day so your Sims can practice yoga. Practising yoga immediately halve the remaining recovery time, and it goes down twice as fast while you practice. Another thing that help is doing something fun first thing after work, like playing game, watching the comedy channel on a TV or whatever improve their fun need.

Right clicking a Sim from the family switch control to that Sim. Right clicking the portrait of any Sim center the camera on that Sim and initiate the Follow mode. Work for portraits in the notification panel as long as that Sim is still anywhere in the current area.

Hai I would love if you could make videos on how to complete aspirations cuz half the time I have to keep going to Reddit to figure stuff out, like hugging 3 different toy bears to complete the creativity aspirations (for child sims) instead of just playing with different sets of toys and it just never counts Then I learn the hard way to never get the incredibly friendly reward trait that boosts your friendship levels on your teen sim, because you’ll never be able to complete the popularity aspiration and make 10 teen friends😭

I also found that aging from young adults to adult or adult to elder that their aspiration train like 'muser' changed to match the aspiration trait of the goal I was tracking. Ex: built a young adult sim with muser trait from being a creative aspiration and because I was tracking a wealth aspiration when they aged up, muser disappeared from their simology and businesses save was there.

EA creator codes are a scam and only give creators 5% of the payment with NO discount to you. There are much better ways to support your favorite simmers. YT Super Thanks button (which is near the like button) gives 70% commission. This means Petey, the creator, gets more from your purchase and YOU, the fan, don't have to spend SO much money to give a large chunk to the creator. Like EA creator codes being 5% will only give the creator a maximum of 2 USD forcing YOU, the fan, to spend 40 USD for them to get that. YT Super thanks being 70% you can spend 3 USD for the creator to get 2 USD commission. Much better ^_~ This also means you can give them more than 2 USD commission. I think the YT super thanks maximum is 350 USD support. Of course, there is also Patreon, Comradery, Twitch that give a higher percentage to the creators. The EA creator codes are just an insult to creators and their fans. :/

I use the Luumia height slider mod. The sliders never worked in my game,but the mod comes with 4 height presets that have always worked perfectly. It makes ome of the romantic reactions a little off when you have 2 sims of different heights,but that's never bothered me.

Guys, tell me what is included in the Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer activities in the club Get Together and Seasons? I was looking for information and didn't find it. I suppose that in Autumn activities you can remove the leaves, but I'm not sure. Perhaps something else? What about the rest of the seasons and the club's activities?

There are no season specific Spring and Summer only activities. Autumn : Rake leaves, play in leaves piles and burn leaves piles. Winter : Snow ball fight, making snow angels, building snowmen. Anytime the temperature is cool or warmer : Swim, water balloon battle, play in puddles, go fishing. Sandy ground NOT covered in show : Make a sand sculpture. The club activities can be pretty much anything that a Sim can do, including any activity from packs and mods. Yes, you CAN have a woohoo club, and also a sex club if you have Wicked Whims, and yes, those activities can be set as «With anyone» and «Anywhere».

The Gymrat reward kinda lost its use when the likes and dislikes were introduced. Cause like if a sim likes fitness then they will get fun without the trait and if the sim doesn't like fitness you can just change it in create a sim. So it’s basically now just if you don't wanna lose hygiene during a workout get it otherwise it’s kinda useless now

About the bonus Aspiration Traits. I often see that if i change my aspiration during gameplay, my sim will after a while get the bonus trait for my chosen aspiration in addition to the bonus trait i get from start. So i can have Gregarious from start + Quick Learner after i have played some time with a Knowledge aspiration active. Is this normal?

Too obvious! Better do something more specific, like combining lifetime reward points and bonus features in a certain order with lifelines to reach a certain level as efficiently as possible. Or how to learn abilities as quickly as possible using objects or actions and using emotions to stay in a good mood. Once I beat the heartbreaker away, and then I always got married and separated or had kids in order to be in a better mood.

Try setting that but then never talk to any sim aside from at work. Ignore the welcoming commity and everything. I don't think you'll ever see your sim gain friends.
