It would be supportive to see your outfits also styled with flats. Heels don’t work for everyone. When I worked i ALWAYS wore heels. Now I am retired, working as an artist at home but not wearing heels unless special occasion. Seeing more tips on wearing flats for petites would be helpful. I have the same issue although I am slightly taller at 5ft4ins. Everything needs to come up on the bottoms and the sleeves get tucked under or rolled up. It's so disappointing when buying a great pair of pants only to not be able to wear them until altered.

I associate bell-bottoms with the 1970's. So glad I saved my flared jeans that regained popularity in the late 1990's... from highschool! So many more shorter options for pants now than when I was a teenager.

i'm not sure about the flared jeans. i have short legs/ long torso and muscular, thicker legs. i also have an hourglass shape more leaning towards inverted triangle. i find the flared jeans emphasize my thicker thighs. my favorite are super high rise tapered jeans. they look best on me if they fit a little loose around my thighs. great tips!!

I've been buying "curvy" jeans to help with this pickle. They come in so many sizes too! So even if you're petite, curvy jeans are available and give room in the thigh area. Hope this may help!

I am 5'. I don't have short legs. I have my pants hemmed at 26", to touch the top of my foot. I am short-waisted, short torso, apple body. My best size is XL, or Petite 16. Yes, petites are for 5'4" women. But that 4 inches in the armpit is a HUGE difference. I really enjoy your channel.

I'm 5' 4". I'm too tall for petite jeans and too short for regular jeans. I just bought some wide leg INC jeans from Macy's as a last resort. They fit great!!! I can wear a comfortable 4-inch heel with it, maybe even a little lower, and it looks great!

Being short and petite, I find jeans/ pants size 12 or 14 in the girls (kid) section fit perfectly if you are 4’11 and below. They have slim, regular, and plus fit to choose from. The smallest women size jeans/ pants are usually too long in the crotch to waistline and bunch up awkwardly in the crotch, hips and buttocks area. Junior department sizes sometimes fit shorter/petite women also. The only problem is finding a plain pair of jeans or pants that are appropriate for my age in the kids and junior department, but once I find a pair-I buy 2. They are usually at a lower price too. Kids shoes are also cheaper and fit better (kid size 2-3 usually fit size 5 in women, 3-4=6 in women, 4-5=7 in women).

I just found out that high-rise doesn't work for me because I need a very short rise. Regular sizing with a short inseam doesn't work because the rise isn't proportioned. I'm 5 ft 2 in and I think I've just found my jeans. Mid-rise petite jeggings that are exactly like jeans. I can flip the waistband over too which I almost always have to do. I must have tried on 100 pair of jeans! LOL. Love your videos which I just found! Excellent explanations and diagrams. Subbed 🌺

Great useful video thank you! Another tip for us shorter leg ladies that personally is huge for me is to either try to have your shoes the same color value as your pants or a nude/ tan / beige colored heel. Also, I do much better with heels that the details, I believe it's called the vamp or Top Line, don't come too high up on the foot. Lastly, for my body type which is petite and larger legs relative to my body, I do much better when there is less contrast color difference between my belt and my pants. I hope this information is helpful.

I'm 5'2" with 28" inside leg, 7 for all mankind jeans are the ones!! They fit the waist beautifully, make my legs look longer, slimmer and make me look taller with a killer backside.... dreamy! Their cropped (for me at least, when I buy them at 28" inner leg) is a perfect ankle bone grazing length, they are soooper flattering in high waist, mid or low rise. Great video! I am the shortest of the short at 4’11”.!!! I have too much weight on my body currently. I can be an 8 or 10 p but this year I have been a 14p or xl. I can wear jeans at work if they are black only. I have to wear flat comfortable shoes for standing for up to 4 or 5 hours. Ugh! I have to try high waisted. I haven’t yet.

I like the Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda Jean. They are high rise and I don’t constantly have to pull them up all the time. I got them in a dark wash straight leg regular length even though I am 5’2” size 6.I will just roll them up to right above the ankle. Because I didn’t hem them, I can wear them with flat shoes or shoes with a little heel. I like bell bottoms and a flare leg too.

I’m 5’6”, but I have a VERY long torso, especially from waist to crotch (I’m short-waisted, which means short from shoulder to waist). And shorter legs for my height. I have to hem up store-bought pants. Now, after menopause, I’m also more apple-shaped, which makes pants/jeans shopping even more challenging. So far, yoga pants are a great option for me. 🙂

Bell Bottom jeans were popular in the 70's, not the 80's, ask me how I know! (I wore them during that period of time!) I am 4'11" and loving your videos! Skinny jeans have never looked good on me. I'd love to know where you find the high waisted flare leg jeans!

You need to find the brands where you can choose sized, for me, 1.58m it fits the 34 waist and 30 for leg - perfect! For example "mango" or "bdg outfitters" or you choose a jeans which is described as 7/8. But it's true, no walk in the park to find the perfect one 😘

This is getting harder with online shopping which is so convenient. I do purchase most of my jeans from the same store that I have been going to since childhood. Luckily there is one where I live in rural Australia. I have purchased some from online shopping and have been successful each time but I do prefer to try them on if possible.

I'm 4'11" & I used to never have problems finding pants that fit perfectly (or any other item of clothing), as LONG AS I weighed less than 100 lbs. I could wear nearly everything right off the rack when I was a size 2-4 petite. I'm sure there were probably fewer styles to choose from than there were with regular-sized clothing, but finding clothes I liked that fit me was easy to do -- as long as I didn't grow larger than a 6 petite. But, boy oh BOY, things didn't stay that way! When a body as short as mine packs on 40 lbs (down from 55!), absolutely NOTHING fits! And pants are THE WORST! But it's not the bottom of the pants I worry about -- it's the top! You can always hem pant legs, but because I am apple-shaped and very short-waisted -- AND because high-rise pants are in style -- I cannot find pants that will work for me. If they are big enough for my middle, and I place the beltline at my beltline, the crotch hangs down to my knees. The other option of pulling the pants higher than my beltline looks and feels ridiculous because they are literally at my bra line. Plus, I have large breasts which accentuates that fact. So far, my only solution has been trying to lose weight 🙄 and praying for low-rise pants to come back in style.🙏🏼 And yes, I have tried "women's petite" sizes, but they don't work either because a pair of pants with a big enough waist will always be too tall in the stride.😞 I've thought about getting tailor-made pants, but that's a pretty expensive route to take. I would appreciate any suggestions! Anyone??

Look for pants/jeans with a lot of stretch on them %3 percent of elastin/spandex or more most stores websites post the materials on the description box it would read something like 97% cotton, 3% spandex etc.. You can also try boyfriends style pants/jeans they tend to be baggier in lower stomach/crotch area .

I get mine from Express is one of the place and yes only high rise to hide my tummy lol I look for size 2 "short" fit me perfectly. I don't have to try it. Enjoyed and learned from your video. First time petite watcher. In my opinion I think if you wear heels with jeans (not skinny) they should be longer. When you sit down too much leg is exposed. When you are standing the leg looks longer. Check out how Victoria Beckham wears pants for instance.

I use to wear them when I was a teen, and when we switched too skinny I thought I will never wear flare again. I'm 4'10.5". I've found great success with JCPenney petite jeans (St. Johns Bay and A.N.A. brands). Some styles even come in petite-short length. My only issue is that many of the jeans have "whiskering."

I'm a low heeler too, (except danskos) but she looks so good (and honestly comfortable) in all her non flat shoes I may take a second look. Maybe she could do a "non flat shoes that are actually comfortable" video.

Oh yes. This is great information. Thanks. I make my own jeans always high waisted and I feel great in them. Why I make my own is because I never get high wasted jeans. I can’t waste my time I get very disappointed. That’s the reason I make my own.

Thank you for your video. Women with a long torso and short legs are pretty forgotten by the fashion industry. As a pear shaped woman, the problem becomes get a high rise that will go over your hips, but then the waist is too big. I know I can have that tailored, but it really just adds to the bill. I generally go for mid-rise to solve the problem. Maybe I will try high rise again. Thanks again!
