He is from Czech republic. He does not have a sponsors, he gets up at 5am to work as a driver and returs at 5 pm and goes to the gym. If he had proper income of money to only focus for the sport he would be untouchable. Despite that he is in TOP5 in the world.

Strongest powerlifter rn for sure. To be fair, with this kind of strength, the only thing that would stop him from crushing every strongman is technique. He does strict OHP with 200kg+ for reps. I would love to see prime Hafthor or Eddie really train for powerlifting and know if they could push this much further.

The raw deadlift wr is 460kg by Benni. HalfThor and Eddie both wore suits
@TheLegMan1
@TheLegMan1 4 жыл бұрын
500 kg deadlift wasn't raw, both eddie and thor had suits on. Thor did do a deadlift 480 kg (without suit and with straps), WR bench is 350 kg (raw), and the WR squat is 525 (wraps). But if you count Vlad's gym lift the squat record is 537.5 kg. All that equals to a 1367.5 kg total. In the future a sumo puller might pull do a raw 500 kg deadlift and julius maddox is going for a 365 kg bench, so the theoretical maximum total is more around 1402.5 kg.
@gabrielpichorim8191
@gabrielpichorim8191 4 жыл бұрын
@@TheLegMan1 pretty sure the Strongman deadlift has a huge margin to grow still. It is a new lift, only for about 15 years people are deadlifting with straps at word class level, and also not many athletes really tried it, not even all the Strongman have the deadlift as their focous, so probably about 40 guys till now had it as their goal. The full equipped squat is over 1300 lb, I know it is crazy, but I sure the Strongman deadlift has the potential to get closer to that in the future.
