Petra, sweetie, you should NEVER have to apologize for having a baby. We all know how kids can be. We love you! Liona is a very bright spot in the videos, so don't worry about interruptions. Kids are THE MOST important thing. Family is everything. I am so proud of you! You came back to doing reactions when you didn't have to do that, you could have just dropped KZbin altogether. When Jackie said she was 9 years old, she had only just turned 9 so in world living she was closer to 8. This video proves what a wonderful tone pitch Jackie started with and developed. I had a step mother who was an opera singer & she had quite a fantastic range. But JE just exudes a pure sound. bell like, and so remarkably tone perfect as to bring 'most' of us to tears. What really adds to JE's persona is her enunciation (she seems to pick up language like she does pure sound). And her stunning delivery. IMHO though JE was amazing between the ages of 10 and 14. She did some great additional videos at 15, 16 & 17. But sadly by 18 she was just another lovely very talented young girl. However. I LOVE the video she did at age 20 called "I am not that girl" but the content of the video is bizarre. like looking at an angel among a cluster of dead-eyed zombies (look at each of their eyes & compare theirs to JE - I would panic on a dark night if any of those 'girls' walked up behind me - only JE would assure me my guardian angel had turned up). I usually block the video part and just listen to her stunning version of the song. She outclasses all the other singers who published their youtube versions, and by a country mile. Sadly she didn't progress as masked Kitty, but she did great until she tried to sing Cyndi Lauper's 'True colors' I could have warned her that only CL could sing *that* song. There is no real glory in singing the best songs of others where they became song icons in the music world. But, on the other hand, we saw JE eat some of the worlds great singers when as an early teen she sang alongside them. I thought read somewhere that many singers preferred not to appear with her because the purity and range of her voice made them feel uncomfortable. Also JE may have had that uncanny ability to stand along side a great singer and suck in their greatness while adding her elegant own. A rare talent that I am sure she has. So, all the above opinion comes from me, and I am an old man, 75 yo with 5 kids (3 girls, 2 boys) 13 grandkids (5 girls & 8 boys ) plus 5 g-grandkids (1 girl 4 boys where oldest just turned 12 !!!). My oldest daughter loves music & was given every instrument available (incl at the time an expensive Yamaha DX7 synthesizer) - she formed 2 bands & today is a great-grannie with 5 grandkids but still plays guitar in bands & writes music. Other of our kids n grandkids are all musical - all were given guitars, foot controlled sound boxes, amps, even a drum set. One g-son plays classical music on a ukulele. I gave him a banjo (I loved banjos) but he much preferred his uke. But, I just adore JE as that magic kid who sang such pure and beautiful music that made her a girl for history. PS Petra, when I watch you listening to JE, can feel it as if we are twins. JE has that effect. Also I recently discovered I had a Danish g-grandfather & so visited Denmark (Jutland) in 2014 & participated in the 150th anniversary of the Prussian invasion of 1864. Wore a Danish uniform & marched in the Danish army in Soenderborg. Sonderjyyland. We later managed to get over to Skaane and loved it there too (esp Ystad). :)

I got to see her about a year ago. Saw her peeking around the curtain before the show. I was already in tears. Her and Grace Vanderwaal really drag the emotions from me. Plan on seeing both of them in the future. Might have to bring Petra to see Grace so she can introduce me to her. Always helps to have someone on the inside.

Jackie Evancho is one of my 2 favorite singers. Your reaction was the same as mine when I first heard her in 2010. She is 19 now and still singing beautifully. She is also singing some pop and a lot of music from stage and film. Her voice is flawless.

She was on America's Got Talent and was accused of lip-synching the next day by the press! They could not believe it was her real voice.. She did not win AGT but she has had a successful career singing in concert. The other video of her I would highly recommend is her singing Bridge Over Troubled Water for Cirque du Soleil when she was about to turn thirteen and you get a preview of her adult voice.

I seen her sing this on AGT and was blown away by it as well. A lot of people were thinking she was just lip-syncing and she proved them wrong by singing an opera accapella, forgive the spelling of that, I know it is wrong, but I tried to spell it as close as I could. Truely amazing though. Also, yes, Grudge baby, grudge baby. Lol. When you had said that a while back, I did not know she sounded that much like it, now I do. I hope she grows out of that, because that would scare the heck out of me if I were to be woken up by it. Does it scare you when it wakes you up? Or are you so used to it now that it's not even effective anymore to you? Just curious on that.
