This is one of my favorite performances from Jackie, other than her PBS performances which are spectacular. I'm glad someone requested this!

The water stage is a complete water TANK fairly deep, with a couple of platform sections that can be raised during a performance, such as the "Piano" and "Pianist" [Benedict Negro, Cirque's master mime]. Both the piano and pianist were under water during the first third of the performance and then surfaced.

Her version of this song is by far my favorite. Absolutely love her voice. Have been on top of my list since she was nine. Also does a beautiful version of How Great Thou Art.

Nicely sung, but that's it. I miss the empathy of Lucy Thomas.

Nice performance. Jackie was sick during the performance but she got through it.

Very nicely sung but then I missed the empathy of Lucy Thomas

Second attempt on this video to get attention for Lucy. Lucy fans are getting as obnoxious as Amira fans seeking out videos of Jackie for an opportunity to promote their favorite singer......"Very nicely sung, but......." The usual condescending lead-in. Jackie set the artistic standard by which young female singers today are measured. Where would these fans go if they didn't have Jackie's shirt-tail to hang onto?

@@jh7526 Obviously you are not here to comment on Jackie's performance or Maria's reaction to it, rather to support the Lucy fans here. I suspect you know nothing about Jackie and her career as a child prodigy, who began performing around the world, touring in concert nation-wide and giving her first of 3 solo concerts for PBS television at age 11.

@@cl9786 That's right, like the vast majority of people, I'm not here to comment, rather to watch the video and occasionally read them. as in this case. So far there are 14 comments out of 345 views; you have made 5 of them on separate occasions. Why? Obviously your interest is not the video but other people's comments. What you may not realize is that the person who runs this channel has numerous reaction videos relating to Lucy Thomas' performances, therefore subscribers could be more likely to be Lucy's followers than Jackie's. and that could be the reason why she's being referenced within the comments. To suggest that Lucy's fans are using this video to promote her is ludicrous to the extreme.

@@jh7526 "To suggest that Lucy's fans are using this video to promote her is ludicrous to the extreme." The video of Jackie's live performance was posted in 2013 when Jackie was 12 years old. The vast majority of Jackie's fans including myself and others with an interest in Jackie as a child star have posted numerous comments on that video. Only a relatively few fans would be interested in a reaction video 11 years later, and then only in comments posted by newcomers as a curiosity. Jackie is 24 years old now, writing, composing and producing her own music which is of far greater interest to her fans now. Lucy fans who visit this video, like you, have an interest only in comparing Lucy's lip-synched video of BOTW at age 19, otherwise why bother? Of course it's the song title that attracted you. Apparently you have no interest in Jackie. Definition of promote: "further the progress of, support or actively encourage". Take note that you and two others ARE promoting Lucy on this Jackie Evancho reaction video.....Do you suppose Lucy would condone that as necessary to furthering her success? Not likely. Btw, in the years I've been following Jackie's career, I've never promoted her on a video of another artist, because I consider that rude and disrespectful. I needn't say more. Bye.

She has a lovely voice and this was a very nice rendition of this classic song. I see from another comment that this is an older song, done when she was very young. I would be interested to hear what she sounds like now that she is older.

Jackie's first original release at age 24 written, composed and produced by her. ......"deeply personal and brutally honest". The song is very relatable and a different vocal style than what she has been known for. "Behind My Eyes", currently being played on Adult Contemporary Radio at #18 on the AC Top 50 chart: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5yoaKuOn9WChKM

This performance was less than a month from Jackie's 13th birthday. Earlier she had performed her 2nd PBS solo concert special, "Music of the Movies" held at the famous Orpheum Theater in L.A. Her first was for PBS Great Performances at age 11 produced by legendary producer/musician, David Foster, "Dream With Me in Concert".
