I was having difficulty understanding GF for decompression theory and this visualization was perfect... Thank you so much

Hi Cathal, you can see the tissues bars at any time by pressing the right button a few times to scroll through the various info displays. The purpose of the display is to inform and educate. For instance, on the surface you can see how much residual inert gas remains after a surface interval. At the end of your bottom time, it might be interesting to see which compartments have saturated. The info isn't incredibly useful, but it does give some insight into how the deco models work.

excellent video. Certainly highlights one of many useful teaching features on the Petrel for those of us who instruct. And of course, yet another reason to invest in a Shearwater.

This is a very clear and well explained demo, thank you, I learned a few things about my Petrel today!

Yes, if we get feedback that it will be a useful feature, then we'll add it to the next Predator update.

Hi. Great video, thanks. Just purchased a PERDIX Computer. The manual directed to this and other videos. Getting used to. Going to dive this weekend. Can´t wait to go in with this great Computer. Regards

Any chance of a firmware update where you could change your inspired surface gas? So, if you're on the surface and breathing 100% O2 during your surface interval, it'll account for that?

very interesting and enlightening. I have to confess I rarely watch that graph.

Do we have transmittable ccr o2/co2 sensor readings yet? Do we have CCR loop gas analysis checking mid-flight yet? Do we have CCR, full-purge and no-purge, loop flush with gas-switching on the fly yet?
@SylvesterMuller12 жыл бұрын
Cool, will that be on a future update for the Predator?

At last I understand GF thanks, I was just wondering if the inert gas would be comming out quicker at 10ft as opposed to 20ft as there is a bigger pressure difference or is off gassing linear? I would of thought the bigger the pressure difference the faster the gas comes out of a solution. Or is the model based on it being linear?

Thanks for the info. Very informative. Now....do I wait for the Fisher Petrel or go and get a Predator! Hmmm

Why M value is not calculated based on partial pressure?

I read in the updates for predator that tissue graph was added , I upgraded my 2016 predator , and didnt see the option for tissues , or is it only visible in dive mode .

Thanks for video, I found it very helpful. In the end of film I understood that computer will be useful also to observe off gassing in the surface and I’m interested - can it help me to monitor when can I go trekking on mountains after dive? Is it taking into consideration decreasing pleasure on the surface when I’m going up?
@mrtomaszgorecki5 жыл бұрын
I was thinking about decreasing pressure when I'm going up :-)

do you have a video showing the Petrel EXT model. I am an SCR diver and has a 3 cell O2 monitoring system and would like to see how this works. Thanks

Hi Bruce Can you outline how this tissue data is utilised by the diver i.e. are we supposed to have this tissue screen on display throughout the dive, or is it for reviewing the dive afterwards and if so how do we access it?? Rgds Cathal ( new petrel owner)

Thanks. While on the surface you mentioned that the computer assumes you are on air, but the ppo2 displays 0.99p02. Should it not be 0.21 p02?
