Baby diver here. Got certified 5 months ago. Got a dive computer and came across this video. Will watch more. You explain this all so well to me, who is challenged in the areas of physics and biology. But I want to learn like my life depends on it. Because it does. Thank you for helping me learn. 😊

I’m currently utilizing a Shearwater Teric (primary) & a Perdix (secondary) for my dives. Took a 64 day hiatus from diving & dove recently. Unfortunately my dive computers were set up 30/70 & 40/85 GF. One went Deco & the other gave me 19 minutes NDL, I went conservative & followed the 30/70 plan + I added an additional 3 minutes on my 20ft deco for conservative reasons. What do you recommend for GF standards?
@JillHeinerth3 жыл бұрын
I can't specifically recommend a GF since that is a personal risk choice. I believe Shearwater ships with 30/70, so that would be their recommendation. Many of us use that standard.

@@JillHeinerth Changed both of my dive computers to 30/70 to keep my rec & tec dives balanced and conservative. Thank you Jill 💯🤿

It seems scary to scuba dive. I want to start diving but it seems dangerous. Do the former Navy instructors the best to learn from?
@JillHeinerth4 жыл бұрын
No, there are great instructors all over the world, outside of the military.
@scubadivingadventures14 ай бұрын
No, it’s not that dangerous as long as you do the training properly and don’t dive outside of your training. Only 1.8 deaths per million dives, which is extremely low. And the military helps you in combat but you don’t need someone to be military for them to be a good instructor, that’s nonsense. As long as they’re smart, attentive, educational, and in good shape that’s what matters

I really liked the content of the video and I will now subscribe your videos. But If I can give you a suggestion regarding the video... The focus is on your background and at least for me, I found it very distracting. I don't know how you are capturing it but maybe you can use focus assistance (peaking) or if not, try to zoom in on your eyes, mark the focus and then zoom out to your desired frame ;). Your face is blurred and is where we are supposed to be looking to. thank you for your videos and clarifications. I am a newbie in this amazing diving World and you are helping me understanding it better;)

How much does suunto pays you?
@NewIndigo3 жыл бұрын
Jill is a SUUNTO Ambassador and has been for several years. This is not a secret - athletes, race car drivers, cyclists, runners, and yes, even some tech divers are sponsored.
