This third version of the Durafly DH 100 Vampire follows on from its predecessors to deliver a fantastic even better version of this popular EDF jet. We have added many more improvements so that the best has got even better. These new improvements include, additional carbon-fiber reinforcement, simplified and lighter landing gear struts, improved ducting and thrust pipe for increased performance, plastic nose for added protection, and plastic retract mount fairings.
This version of the Vampire DH100 is finished in an RAF camouflage color scheme, VX474 was an FB5 model of No 118 Squadron based at RAF Fassberg, Germany, in 1953, the yellow bands on the wings were Squadron markings, not training bands. Being one of the Air Force's first-ever jet fighters (the first to have a single jet engine), the Vampire had an outstanding performance and graceful lines, the pilots loved it. This Durafly version captures the graceful lines of this early jet fighter beautifully.
Under the hatch, the Vampire V3 has also been updated with an Aerostar 60A RVS G2 ESC, which can offer reverse thrust for braking when landing on tarmac/asphalt runways. The impressive 2836 3300KV brushless motor has been retained, as has the efficient 70mm fan unit, and the high-quality 9g servos. The Vampire V3 is made from tough EPO foam which is superbly finished in the painted camouflage scheme and also has factory-applied decals. As well as looking the part, it's easy to assemble, and the EDF unit, ESC, servos, retracts, and struts are all pre-installed at the factory.
Jets are about performance and the Durafly Vampire V3 will not disappoint. It has a fantastic climb rate due to being even lighter, and a great turn of speed. When you combine this performance with the uncanny scale-like sound, the result is one of the most realistic jets in its class. It has a wide, stable, flight envelope, fast passes are a dream, so are big loops and rolling maneuvers, and the slow speed handling combines to give you a very forgiving model. We recommend for best performance that you use a lightweight 2200mAh 4S LiPo battery, even with this battery you will achieve flight times of around 5 minutes with mixed-throttle use.

Thanks for the video guys. Seen a couple of videos with the Vampire climbing when the throttle is closed. One guy has added a throttle - elevator mix to counter it. Looking forward to the Christmas video. Bought two of the camo versions and a Canadian to go with my original old Canadian. One of each to fly and spares really before they all go out of stock. Cheaper to buy a complete model than spares.

Great job Brothers , The V2 Canadian edition didnt have a pilot figure either . I got two of them when I saw your video and I fly one and it hangs in my studio. I just sold the other last week . It has nothing to do with the battery position. With this HK Vampire, it flies level during flight. If, during a pass, you turn off throttle, the plane will go up 10 to 20 feet. It generally can land without power... so turn off power far from the runway and let it glide in. It goes up, but you have time and space to let it descend. The front gear, front nose, is not strong enough to handle landings like that for long... the nose will eventually break off. Belly land so save the weak gear and nose.
