Good info sir, the main point diesel and petrol price different is so slim now, secondly maintenance wise, petrol cars always ahead. Diesel only for those who have a heavy usage, petrol best for normal use.

Hi Kamath, high sulphur content in BS4 fuel do not help in lubrication. BS-6 fuel with reduced sulphur is required for effective functioning of exhaust catalyst.

BS6 compatible fuels will have very less sulphur (less than 15ppm) which will cause lack of lubrication is fuel injectors in BS4 engines..

Zigwheel is not a research based website. For injectors basic lubrication is from diesel fuel only. 10 to 15 ppm of sulphur is required for effective functioning of catalyst.🤗

I havent mentioned catalyst anywhere, the catalytic process is after ignition which happens in silencer.. That is what the major difference in BS4 and BS6 is.. I just spoke about engine. There is no doubt BS6 will be superior.. Hope you got me..

Hello sir u said that there is a different air filter for petrol and diesel it's wrong even grade is same for diesel & petrol shell 20w40 oil 3.5ltr please check it technically is wrong only 1.5 thousand may extend in diesel not much, even diesel filter is to be replaced only 20,000kms once oil filter is just 700₹ higher than petrol that much of variation is not there in service even we r diesel swift owner , I'll agree that we shd drive much , but technically service doesn't vary that much of cost
