Hope they make so you can perma lock a pet so you can "resurrect" the pet if it gets killed. Pets can die in many ways so sad if they fall off from heights or get killed by random spawns. Wonder if this is for specific pets or if its for all of the pet system that is current, would be awesome in case got an pet you want only to lose it momentarily

Since this is basically F4 but 'live', and F4 is coded for pets, it makes sense that they're going to sell pets for money at some point. I sincerely doubt that we'll get anything other than a basic cat for free, still the option to have them in our camp will be a nice addition.

Very excited for the pets! I thought you could already kinda get them with the Animal Friend and Wasteland Whisperer perks, but I know it’s pretty hard to do and that you have to find the spawns at specific places and not as part of a pack/group, so I haven’t really put a lot of time or effort towards actually doing it despite getting and maxing out both perks 😅

I spent 3 hours getting a deathclaw with that method and then it just vanished a few days later. Nothing else was destroyed in the camp and was surrounded by a wall so I don’t think it was killed even. Luckily this looks like something else if it comes

Pretty sure the reason people are nuking fasnacht It is because of the players who afk. And it's not that we have a problem with them it's just it gets really annoying having to jump servers because half the server is afk and Helvetia and you're trying to do other events and fail the other because no one shows up it especially sucks when you join a team and you find out your team leader and half your team is actually AFK

This is huge! if they start dealing with the pets, I think it also means that they will disappear/die less. I mean, they wouldn't start building new things for pets (purchasable emoticons, armors and who knows what else) if they didn't have a better solution to the fact that after several days/weeks of messing with getting the pet, it can turn into fog in just a few hours. Maybe they can even be our companions?? I can't wait for it! :D

+ the cat was emphasised on the pictures, that was theoritically tameable all along, but we never get the tame command on cats, because they aren't agressives. And taming works only on agressive creatures - currently. If it changes, possums, squirrels, rabbits will also be able to join us.

Fasnacht is the worst, double XP weekend and nothing is going on, because 90% of the server is running against a wall in Helvetia. "Oh but you can change server" Yeah to another server with 90% of players running against a wall in Helvetia. I can't wait until that stupid event is over.

If we are getting pets, and things like Deathclaws or birds (thrashers? owls?) are on the table, I hope that means just about any creature (excluding most of the giant ones like Mirelurk Queens or Fog Crawlers, or most cryptids like Sheepsquatch, Blue Devils, or Ogua, because I feel like that'd be a bit broken or OP) can be a pet. I also hope that once you tame it, it's functionally immortal like companions in 4 or New Vegas. I'm hoping for a mutant hound; if naming is an option, I'd name him Meatball or Zucchini.

Fun fact - each time Fas was nuked I stopped the event and farmed flora and mats - way better drop rate than trash legos and masks. 🎉🎉 As for the pets - I think it is a cool feature as long as the put content around it. Add main and side quests, daily quests. Just adding pets is boring.

I'd like a larger camp budget implemented ahead of pets but pets would be something from which they can make money. I'm guessing they'll just pull the FO4 creation club dogs etc. and sell them in the Atomic Shop since they already have the models and textures. They'd just need to add additional 'behaviours' depending on what animations they plan on implementing.

Great Vid! It makes alot more sense know seeing the entire picture. I am refering to OC of the scrip rework, introducing a forth rollable star drastically reduces the chances of a god roll, and they dont want people using things that dont feel good or creates a sense of always feeling like they arent min maxing, i think seeing the whole picture alot more make sense. The Fallout show and influx of new and returning players seems to have really inspired and reinvigorated Bethesda to keep the game progressing and active. I'm a new player from this Spring (yes after the show) but I'm 110% committed to it now. The first RPG/PC game I ever played was Daggerfall so I'm a Bethesda fan but didn't try FO76 as I was played Elder Scrolls Online but wish I had given FO76 a chance prior but better late than never! I hope they continue this surge of development and production to flesh out the game it seems they had designed and wanted in the first place. .. again better late than never! Thank you for sharing this! Pets would be AHmazing!

The nuking made my wife give up on the event. I'm a little more stubborn, so I'm still hoping to find her a unicorn mask, but I will confess it's dulled even my eagerness for Fasnacht. If this comes through, it will revitalize the event (really, trolling is the only reason to nuke it - the enemies still spawn, and you don't get any extra rewards from them).

hope that Helvetia Nuke blocking is a real thing. I think all Main (Moonshine Jamboree, One Violent Night) and Seasonal Events (Meet Week, Fasnacht) should be blocked from Nukes. If the Nuke already dropped on a Main Event location, then make that Event to not start until the area is clear of radiation. Seasonal Events area should never be available to Nuke. Let the Nukes drop only on the ones that actually needs the Nuke to activate it, and the rest of the map.

If you nuke during the event, you kill everybody, not just AFK. If you nuke before the event, anyone who wants to sit there AFK can do it in power armor or a hazmat suit, rendering themselves effectively immune to the radiation. It serves no purpose except to troll.

From what I had heard, pets were originally in 76 during beta test, but they kept running into an issue where the pets would get confused and start following the wrong players. If we're getting pets, that means they finally fixed the issue.

I did around 12 fasnacht , then lost interest , been running expeditions since building script and levelling like crazy . Since I do most of the game solo anyway , the afk brigade don’t bother me .

Nukes are a huge part of fallout. Blocking them is just caving to afk POSs because Bethesda wants to claim they have so many active players . The amount of afk players is disgusting and all for greed. This event has made the game stale and boring af. No one does any other events. Numerous times I go to an event in a packed server solo because there's 20 ppl afk. The proper answer is reward players on activity. But Bethesda Hates its players

Yes, reward by activity is a great place to start. A different approach would be to join an event by needing to talk to a npc or only after fast traveling to join the event.

You arrive to an event someone else talks to the npc, they also manage to start the event then they proceed to one shot everything leaving you running around not able to do anything. @@addictiongaming76 it does actually, if fashnat is nuked no one does the event. And even if people do, they get disconnected after 5-10 mins when the died. The only way to prevent from getting kicked while dead is being on the map to respawn.

Now if only they'd find a fix for when all 23 other players decide to AFK in Helvetia to try farming masks. Nuking Helvetia has been one way to fix that, killing everyone in the area with a nuke would break their AFK strategies and get them kicked for inactivity so you at least had a chance to get some fresh and active players for the next time.

@@stephengrant7066 Being dead itself doesn't get you kicked, but sitting around as a corpse with no valid inputs _does_ eventually get you kicked for inactivity. A confounding factor in AFK kicks is that it can take upwards of 4 _hours_ for the server to kick a player even with absolutely no inputs, but as long as they're not producing any valid inputs it will eventually kick even corpses. Also, if they die outside of the event then they will not automatically respawn unless the player actually selects to respawn, and even if they _could,_ the event (and thus the forced respawn) does not actually start until someone interacts with the Master of Ceremonies, and their respawn would still move them outside where they'll eventually wander out of the event area.

People being AFK en masse at the event doesn't stop the event from happening or impact the rewards anybody receives, as of this iteration of Fasnacht Day the event is simply pass or fail; 1/5 robots surviving has the same odds as 5/5 now. Nuking the event will keep people from doing it in the first place. Sure, the AFK players aren't getting rewards now... because nobody on the server is getting rewards that hour. Which one is actually harmful? Also since they have the tech now, I would be highly amused to see the SV storm's nuke-eating effect active over Helvetia only during the event's season.

Also all these complaints about Fasnacht Day completely overshadowing other events, this is a symptom of Bethesda not implementing any kind of text chat system. There are plenty enough active players in the text chat mod to keep catching Radiation Rumble, Eviction Notice, and Moonshine Jamboree every 20 and 40 minutes past the top of the hour. You'll even catch more Fasnacht Days if you can land in somebody's private world where they delayed beginning until enough people respond to their announcement in chat.

I don't agree with pets, i think the idea is stupid. I also don't understand why people whine about helvetia getting nuked. I personally have no problems jumping into events whether they are in nuked zones or not, hell nuked zones are supposed to be one of the "features" of gameplay. That’s awesome u don’t have issues, but there are a ton of players that cannot do nuke zones and it deters participation from the server. When I load into I just die over and over again till the event is over, but that’s me. Also, some players cannot play in a nuke zone do to having older hardware🥰

pets is great, but not fixing the event still sucks. it's not impossible to reward the players who actually contribute to the event - it's actually easy as fuck if that is your intention as a developer.

So it’s not B&W which is what you fail to see. So how fair is this, you are new, you have no idea how the event runs and so you keep trying to find a robot, but every time you find one everything is already done, so you then just go wait for it to start. or maybe ur system keeps freezing so ur late. Now the event starts here comes I’m better than everyone and one shots almost every creature so you get absolutely no hits. Should you not get a reward? This is the problem, you have selfish people on both sides and then you have an event that’s nearly impossible to complete with nukes happening in the middle of the event, players spamming nukes, grenades, etc, and then the players that could care less if you actually get to play, because they can do the event all by themselves and they need everyone to know that instead of going to a private server or switching to a less powerful weapon. Yes, all limited time events are open to the whole community not just higher level players🥰

Why? AFKs are a little annoying during the Super Mutant phase, but that's never stopped any group I've been with from successfully completing the event, and they don't reduce the rewards the rest of us get. Sure, it irks to see someone just sitting there, but they're shorting themselves by not playing, they're not shorting me.

Only rare masks ive got this evemt run are 7 glowing masks no old rares and all glowing masks i got while afk and was nuked so i had luck being killed afk vs actively playing i have 0 rares i got a camp in that new no nuke zone kinda makes me a little happier so i dont have to rebuild that camp if i forget to switch camps before going afk

We pushed over 50 people out and put them into the camper tent to spin away till morning after either killing with the flies or nukes. You act like we don't know how to fuck with people. Just because we haven't gotten you doesn't mean we won't reach more to do the same shit just no nukes next year. But oh well faster to use the flies anyway. Especially when you have a large group of people in the server. You do you just don't cry if we get you.

TROLLING ??!!! Helvetia gets nuked because of all the damn afk players that waste space on a server. People who want to actually play and do events have to constantly server hop to find people to do events so that ones like EN don't fail constantly. Instead of protecting the area Bugthesda needs to stop people from being able to afk the event. Events were put into the game for players to PARTICIPATE in to receive rewards. None of these players are actually participating therefore they should not be getting rewarded. The new legendary system looks like a gigantic hot mess that players will abuse to make weapons like the legendaries that were removed. It's about time they bring changes to the game but does anyone actually think about these things before implementing into the PTS??!!! 🤦‍♀

Trolling is the issue, it will fix a bunch of stuff, but most players don’t understand afk or how it works so it’s been said by every troll nuke the event and players just eat it up without looking into it. If ya knew how it worked you wouldn’t nuke the event

Fun fact - each time Fas was nuked I stopped the event and farmed flora and mats - way better drop rate than trash legos and masks. 🎉🎉 As for the pets - I think it is a cool feature as long as the put content around it. Add main and side quests, daily quests. Just adding pets is boring.

@@addictiongaming76oh. And as a player who’s new and has like 10 flux total, I’m happy for those 10 :). And yes I get it that newer players who may not have hazmat or PA or something to help a the nuke zone suffer - the change is helpful to them. Not lost on me :)
