Bunny review: Pros - Fluffy little loaves - Quite easy to litter train - Extremely adorable - Very strong personality - Cheer you up when you're down - Don't smell much and their waste is easy to clean up. - Happy bunnies love to race around and binkie Cons - Best kept free range, indoor but can be very destructive. You need to keep an eye on them constantly. - They love to chew through cables and can get electrocuted. - Considered an exotic pet (in the UK at least) so not all vets are trained in their care. Those that are, are more expensive. - Some can be really antisocial. - Bonded pairs are super sweet but unbounded pairs can be vicious with each other and lay off a strong scent when they irritate each other. Summary Awesome little a**holes that are much more difficult to care for than you'd originally think.

I completely agree. My 2 lops live in our house in the downstairs rooms. They’re the cutest floof balls ever but they chew all of the fixtures, eat your clothes if you sit still long enough and steal food. We’ve tried bunny proofing but to no avail. They’re crafty little buggers. But I love them with all my heart.

YESSS! We have one bunny and she's not very social at all! We still love her, but now have to watch her more closely when she's out! She will chew up carpet (1 piece at a time!), chew on cords, get inside the couch(after chewing thru said couch and get stuck... Bunnies are definitely more work than what I thought I was getting into! She's an adorable fluff ball but, well, see above! Ha ha ha!

I’m a certified vet assistant, and every clinic I’ve worked at I’ve always tried to do something special for owners when they have to say goodbye to their pets. Some places it was a paw print on card stock, sometimes actual clay impressions of the paw, but my favorite keepsake to make is a little glass vial with a lock of fur. I would buy cute charms like little paw prints, hearts, cats, dogs, etc and make a little charm to tie around the neck of the vial with twine. It’s never easy to say goodbye, and my hope is always that some sort of keepsake will help bring peace to the owner so they can remember the good times 💕

you are awesome! I used to work at an animal hospital, and it was really so hard to be with a client as they had to put their animal down, and one in particular that I will never forget was a beautiful Samoyed came in and he had eaten some oleander, and was poisoned, and dying, and the sadness and pain the parents felt was so hard to see, they loved their dog more than anything, they had no children and this dog was their baby, and they werent prepared to lose him, not like any of us are, but he was young with lots of life left, but unfortunately he didnt make it, we got to him too late. I also had to put my own cat of 16 years down and still go right back to work for the day like nothing happened, that was not easy. I wish I couldve done something like this for those who lost a pet, it would have been some comfort.

I gave my puppers a last week. He was nearly 20, we grew up together, he was the only being that could comfort me and I was the only person he'd go on walks for, or run with, during his last four years. He was in end stage renal failure for a year, but he was still happy and loving life, sleeping on his favourite couch, snuggling on my lap for hours, sleeping tucked in behind my knees. I took him camping for a week at his favorite lake. I took him on walks to his favourite dock and beach, I carried him when he got tired. He had a lawn chair that was HIS chair and he would relax and watch the fire despite being nearly blind. He was completely deaf and would only follow my orders, but thats because I talk with my hands and he recognizes which motions I made for which orders. I let him eat all the human meals, within reason though as he would be in pain otherwise, I took him out on the boat every sunset and he'd sit on the bow happy as a being can be, watching the sky and the ducks. I let him sniff every fish I caught, he'd never touch them but he loved sniffing them. When we got back home, I gave him his last haircut so his fur wouldn't be in his eyes and he just stared at me so happily with those big brown eyes. I played with him in the field for an hour before the appointment. He got to lay some bricks in my jerk neighbours yard, which the spiteful little furball always did as he hated their cat, and I hated the cats' people. I held him and pet him and hummed to him so he didn't feel scared or alone. I miss him so much.

I have two bunnies and they are the best! They are both litter boxed trained and have such huge personalities for their tiny fluffy bodies. I have a lop like in the video and he’s a huge grump and demands the best. My other bun is a Himalayan and he’s the bunny version of Kronk - big, dumb, and an absolute sweetie. His ideal day is snuggling on my armpit or stealing food off of my plate. I love them!

Oh, I wept all the way through the video of that little dog's last day. I'm still all teary eyed because of that. That woman will have all those bittersweet memories rather than just sadness of that time. These animals all have it good. A few hundred years ago, most of our pets wouldn't have it nearly so good, but now they're spoiled rotten because we their pet guardians just can't help it. They all deserve the good stuff we give them. :) If I was to say to my cat that he'd have had to live outside a few hundred years ago, he'd say, "Yeah, so? That's where I wanna be." haha But, really, I know he loves his life and how he doesn't really have to go hungry, despite his desperate pleas for food in the middle of the night when there's a wee itty bitty hole in the bottom of his food dish where one or two little pieces of kibble are missing.

I have two bunnies Zoey and Ella and i would say that having a bunny is very hard. If you would get a bunny you would have to keep the bunnies area clean and i don= not recommend keeping a bunnt in a cage because bunnies love to run around do binkies which is when they jump and do like a little twist in the air and something a lot of people didnt know a bout bunnies is that they can be littertrained just like a cat and they bathe them selves just like a cat if anyone were to get a pet bunny i would do a ton of research on how to care for a bunny dont just go off of what one video says.

I have a pet bunny, 6yrs old and I love him!! Would highly recommend getting one, preferably 2 as they do best in pairs. I was really surprised by how much personality a bunny can have, I even taught him tricks. He loves to cuddle, and follows me around. It did take time for that level of trust and love to happen, so be patient. Of course just like people, they have distinct personalities so they're not all going to be as affectionate. However, they are a lot of work, I would say even more so then a dog and they love to chew things. They are considered exotic pets so you'll have to find a vet who specializes in that. Just make sure to bunny proof your home. Skip the cage and give them an area in your home that they can free roam. I would also recommend doing some research on breeds. Although lopped eared bunnies are so freakin cute, they tend to have the most health issues with ears and teeth because they've been bred to look a certain way. Best of luck.

i've had a pet rabbit for the past 9 years, she currently has arthritis and cannot groom herself, but other than that she is the best part of my day. She's mostly free roam around the house but when she is in her pen, it's 6ft by 3ft so she still has a lot of space. She loves car rides, pets, treats a lot. She has a bunch of personality and will thump her feet at you when she's upset at you and will thump again if you tell her to stop thumping. just remember rabbits are a lot of work, do research before getting one, they are not quick and easy pets. They need exotic vets for medical care, they need lots of space (the cages u get at pet stores are basically abuse, plz do not get those), and they have a very specific diet but if you can properly care for them and do your research, they are an amazingly rewarding pet to have. :)

I got the warmest winter jacket for my great dane. If i need a coat, so does she. Its hard finding a warm jacket for a large great dane, but Chewy had exactly what we needed. She loves it. In Maine we have a lot of days below freezing in the winter time. Now if she would only keep booties on to protect her feet. I have trued so many and none stay on her feet. She has short thin hair so a jacket is something i could do at least to keep her warm. I spoil her for sure. She gets marrow bones. She has her own plate at thanksgiving and christmas. She has her own christmas stocking. We take care of her like she is an extra child 😊.

I had a bunny once. He was so smart. He watched the cats use the litter boxes and he started doing it on his own. Unfortunately my oldest cat felt threatened by his presence so he started peeing everywhere. He was neutralized which people had a hard time understanding because apparently a lot of people think only fertile cats will pee on everything. I had to rehome the bunny because of it but he got a good home with a family that kept me updating throughout the years and sent me pictures of him.

All my friends joke that my 3 dogs own our house and my husband and I are just renters. They have beds for each dog in every room and they also have different beds for each season, 10 toy boxes, a whole retail wall of food and different treats and chews, they each have wet and dry food bowls that are elevated to each of their size, they each have their own water fountain, we bought a couch big enough for 10 humans so they could also have their own space on the couch, blankets with their names on them, a closet full of clothes, bows, harnesses and collars to match all their outfits, 4 sets of stairs for each piece of furniture and so many other things that I’m forgetting atm.

late to the party but Bunny owner here People think theyre small, cute, and that's true. but also they're up at any point in time. time is meaningless to them. they want cuddles at three am, and they will STOMP until they get it poop everywhereeeee. even ones that are literbox trained. they can't help it, but it does get to be a lot. Literbox cleaning is a daily thing. They will chew everything you care about. your wires are not safe, your electronics are not safe, your plumbing might not be safe. Baseboard? Ruined. You can't train them to not chew because they physically have too. It's best to have two, because they will die of a broken heart / lonliness. And they need be bonded. Good luck figuring that out. Even the smallest rabbit breeds (dwaf or minis) need a 12 square foot enclosure (Actually, it's 3 times their length, 1.5 - 2 times their width, 1.5 - 2 times their height), plus another 24 square feet they can have access to for about 5 hours a day, preferably more. Bunnies get zoomies and they run fast. so fast. Oh, and when you need a vet? Good luck. you're gonna be calling for days. And if it's an emergency, you'll be crying on the phone for hours trying to find someone who's actually available. Rabbits are the best pet in the world. If you are prepared for them. Most people just pick them up for easter thinking it's a "low maintenance" pet, and they only weigh 2 lbs as babies, so how much trouble could they be? Then it chews their laptop wire, or it pulls up the carpet, or bites because it got scared. They put them in a cage, then get mad when it's antisocial. They throw them into a forest preserve or on the side of the road because they think it can take care of itself. Rabbits are not low maintenance, they are low exercise. You don't have to take them on a walk, but you will have to play with them. You don't have to carry doggy bags, but you got literbox duty almost every day. They don't eat carrots the way cartoons show. They will snuggle, but its always on their terms, never yours. And it takes a while to get your rabbit to trust you. They live for ten years or more, they're a long term commitment, not an easter present. TL;DR: Rabbits are amazing, but do your research and don't trust pet stores to give you the right info.

I have a pet bunny and her name is Miso! (She's on my profile picture). Rabbits are pretty good pets. Since Miso is a senior, I don't have much experience with rabbit's energy levels. But, I have seen rabbits online that can jump really high and do zoomies all day. Having a rabbit is good until they find out how to go upstairs, searching your trash for snacks, poop and pee everywhere despite being "potty trained." You would have to clean their cage once or twice a week. And, say good bye to cords and rugs because they love munching on it. My rabbit broke my recliner by biting a half inch cord. (Miso btw is a mini lop).

We have 4 bunnies. All in the house, free roam and litter trained. All boys. One older (double mane lionhead), 2 brothers about 2 Years old (mini rex) and a baby (15 or 16 weeks holland lop). We love them dearly. We've had the three older ones over a year and the baby a couple of months. We really enjoy it. Everyone has their own bunny so we bond with our specific bunny. If you get one, get a baby and think about the hair. Babies bond better with their human. Mini rex shed A LOT. Lionmane gets shaved because his hair grows and grows and mattes. Holland lop so far is good. They are very social, funny animals.

ive had a fair few bunnies in my time, if you have 1 on its own and have it in the house with no cage then its not to dissimilar to having a cat or a dog, you might find the odd dropping here or there but its not where near as stinky or gorse to clean up. they do like to nibble things especially wood, but giving them twigs or things that are made for them to nibble on decreases that as they need it to keep their teeth down as their teeth continue to grow, they also have back teeth that can cause eating issues if left to over grow. i also found that they like to have their litter tray in the bathroom as thats where you do your toileting and are rather good when it comes to keeping their home clean. wires can be an issue if they come across them, its more the instinct of burrowing that brings that out as when they are building or maintaining a burrow they nibble any roots that can obstruct the routes. males have to be neutered! they will mark their territory! when it comes to grooming and health checking they can be very relaxed if they are brought up with lots of cuddles and cradling, i say cradling due to one of the best ways i found to health check and groom them is by placing them on their back in the gap between your legs when sitting. for that they need to completely trust you as rabbits when on their backs become paralysed, but from there you can check the inside of their ears, around the tail and butt (very important, especially if they do live outside), you can clip their nails and check the teeth (for the back teeth you insert your little finger into the cheek on either side. they wont bite as you are missing the main front teeth). also as an only pet in a human environment they take on human characteristics and behaviours. one rabbit would eat marmite on toast with me in the mornings, had to sit at the table in his own chair and eat with us, bath with me and watch tv sitting next to me. another would try to walk on his back legs and while he was learning to walk like that, he would hang on to the back of a long skirt or dress till he could do it by himself. they are very cleaver, very communitive through body language and gesture. one even saved my life when i was a teen. i highly recommend them as pets, even as indoor pets without a cage once they are trained.

pet bunnies are like having a CHILD. you need to brush them, feed them fresh food, fresh unlimited hay, fresh litterbox, they have to have lots of space. i share a BEDROOM with my sister just so that my rabbit can have her own room to run around in. they hate slippery floors, i had to carpet the whole thingand bunny proof it.i bought a 106 dollar microphone and she BIT THE CORD so its useless now. but i love her

I don't know how you kept it together for that last day video. I was crying over here. I didn't get to do some of the things with my old guy, but spoiled him as much as possible in his final hours.

We had a pet bunny. He was super chill. He actually learned to pee and poop in just one spot where we had pads for him. He listened to his name and like 80% of time he came when you called him. He drank beer at times. He did want to bite every cable and he once did (even though we had barricades). He would wake us up sometimes by licking our faces aka giving us kisses so that was awesome. We used to leave him out 24/7 basically. So if we had someone sleep over and he would need to be in his cage he would stomp real loud 🤷‍♀️. And he couldn’t eat carrots cause he would always had stomachache after.

I had a rabbit when I was married and it was awesome but my husband ended up being allergic to the hay so I had to rehomed him. It turns out I should have rehomed the husband instead since we’re now divorced! 😂 But I’m actually going to get a rabbit again shortly. I’m going to have surgery in a month or so and figured it would be best to wait until after that to get one. But rabbits are so smart and I was able to have mine free roam during the day and they can be litter box trained. Mine played fetch with me and would throw his ball back at me by using his mouth and turning his head really quick. You do need to bunny proof your house (cover extension cords etc) but they are the best and very loving and so fun to just watch. Watch Lennon The Bunny on KZbin and you’ll learn a lot.

Bunnies are the best. Sadly, a few weeks ago, we had to say goodbye to our dwarf Hotot bunny named Cadbury. He had his own room and was loved beyond measure-he was pure joy. He lived to be 15 years old-so they are not short term pets.

I am a current bun bun owner, I own a Netherland dwarf rabbit! having bunnies is seriously the best thing ever!! they are soo sweet and gentle, and love....just love ..... attention! for me I would give a rating of a 9/10 sometimes they could chew some boards in the house but you can definitely train them not to. plus you can potty train them!!!! how cool is that!

I have a bunny, and I love her, but owning a rabbit is not a walk in the park. She has an exercise pen that I leave up all the time, which is essentially her hutch; the litter box has to be emptied every day, wiped out, re-lined, and refilled with hay; and it's a lot of shedding. They're very similar to cats, they can be standoff-ish, but if they choose you, they are very loyal. I love watching her play with my dogs.

@@misfitm1457 I’m literally a veterinary nurse. My bunny came from the shelter and did not have a companion, she’s just fine with my dogs and cat, and has been happily taking over my entire house for 3 years. I know these animals well, and did not adopt her blindly.

The owner of the bulldog with the night routine I am so proud of for understanding how much health issues bulldogs have. He has a large night routine because bulldogs have issues with breathing. They have so many wrinkles. It all gets stuck in there, and then interacts with their breathing. I had a bulldog and he died not too long ago. Hope you are amazing and I hope that you continue to create amazing content for us.

Bunnies are great, except I would do some research on special care for them first. Never let any loud alarms go off near them, or anything like that. They can easily die of fright and it is so sad to witness. Just make sure to treat them a bit more gently than the average cat or dog. My little sister used to raise rabbits for some school programs so if you ever are serious about getting a rabbit my sister and mom can give me all extra info I may more easily forget. They are sweet animals, they are wonderful at cuddling and depending on the bunny are usually happy to go on walks around the yard on a leash(don’t leave them out there alone cause if hawks) Plus they can be litter trained. Gandalf was a sweet rabbit who was born grey and turned white (hence the name) he just passed away recently after 5 years of old age. And he was taught to be litter trained in just a few months. He also liked to do little dances ❤️ Point is rabbits are pretty cool just read a bit or watch a few videos before getting one. (We also have cats and I can say rabbits are at least a bit more high maintenance than the cats are)

I walked to school every day for a year. A FERA kitten would come to me when I brought her food. Now she is a fat and happy housecat! Now I recently did the same to a relative of hers I found in the same spot. He looks exactly like her so I have had many midnight scares. Ferals are not always ferocious❤

I started crying after the one where they said goodbye to my pet because I lost my cat and my older brother at the time and my mom took him so I didn’t get to come because it was like four and I had to put him down because he had really bad diabetes and I’ve been wishing and praying and Prairieing and he was rude to me and I really still love him deep down there there’s still my love for him and me being a four-year-old didn’t understand it I still cry every night I have anxiety and overwhelming and it’s just because I miss him I nobody understands what it’s like to lose somebody that you nourished and loved and cared about and then just a few weeks later this happened my grandma dies like just a few weeks before and I know that they’re both looking down on me and loving me and caring for me and cheering on for me I’m so sorry hope if you had to read this and it just made you cry it’s not a sob story really crying is hard as I can

It's always hard to watch the good bye videos for a person's pet. I lost my 4 legged soulmate almost 6 years ago. I didn't get a chance to take him on any "last time" adventures, but I was right there nose to nose with him when he took his last breath. A few years later, I got his actual paw print given to me by the vet staff tattooed on me so he is always with me. My heart breaks every day for him, but I know he is happy and healthy and waiting for me over that rainbow bridge! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have 2 Shih Tzu mixes and we do spa days with them all of the time. They'll start with a hair trim and then a bath soak. After the bath, they get warm towel wraps to dry off and then combed out. Once dry, they then get their nails trimmed and ears cleaned. We usually make a whole day of it for them so things are spaced out and not done all at once with lots of cuddles in between. I lost all of my hair several years ago due to an illness and my hair that grew back was pretty different so I let my nurses pick fun colors to liven it up. At times I've dyed my fur baby to match. One memorable time she had a bright purple mohawk to match my bright purple hair. Just to note, it had all been pre-approved by her vet.

I had a bunny, she was a little black and white lionhead named Oreo. She was absolutely darling. very sweet and curious. My only complaint was the litter set-up. it was a pain to clean and replace so often. She was a baby though so I'm sure she'd figure it out eventually. I wasn't able to keep her though. My cat figured out how to get into he playpen and kept giving me mini heart attacks. she kept growling and chuffing at her so I didn't feel like she was safe when I left the house. Separating them wasn't really an option either so I just found her a loving home.

I have the sweetest little rabbit! She runs around my house like a dog! I had do cover anything she could eat on the first two bottom feet of my house but other than that, they pee and poop in the litterbox almost exclusively! I take her for walks in a stroller and teach her tricks like "come" "spin" "touch" and a couple others! They have the ability to be just like cats and dogs but I just love them so so so so so much more! Plus, they are obsessed with bananas omg. I've always had people telling me rabbits are dirty but you just have to clean the litter box every two days and the house smells no different than the time before I had her! And their poop is dry so you can just sweep or vacuum it up so easy.
