What a little dolly you made her! I have been wondering what an Asian fusion body would look like on my tiny cutie pie Shihtzu, but what stops me is her coat is much thinner, almost like a Maltese. Right now I have her in a full coat, almost show coat, with a short Asian fusion face, and I blend the face into the longer neck. The only trimming I do to the body is blend the chest, and rear into the longer coat, because I like a shorter body outline (head to tail), and I also cut short little peekaboo "ballet slippers" onto to first 1/3 of her feet/toes. Anyways, what a flawless groom you showed here👏🏻💎

Which clipper are you using. Shernbao? My groomer is using 0 blade for body leaving more hair than this one with the flaired legs. Coco is a much smaller 7 lb. Look same.

Just bought the Shernbao pgc 420 mini trimmer on sale for $35.00 its great for paw pads and sanitary and face, mybshih tzu is the smaller version of lulu bell. I love it, on to buying 660.

Groomer used kenchi flash today. She came out beautiful. Used 1 blade. Flared paws like video. Only issue Coco has very tiny flat face. Shernbao merged with Waggzs. On sale for 99. But I need for her to have 1 or 2 blade. Will buy mon. Again I'm so sorry for bugging you. I was a great yorkie groomer..this is so hard. I want to learn so bad.

Yes she looks so much and acts just like my little Shihtzu, minus the black hair. This is my first shihtzu, so I don't know if they commonly look and act this way, but they are my favorite breed because they seem generally so laid back like this cute girl. Mine is nearly 100% white with light cream patches, blue/green eyes & a purple nose. Her AKC color is listed as lilac & white.

The clip is beautiful almost exactly how I keep my Shih Tzu. I’m curious why you used a 7F on the vulva and booty? I’ve found 7’s to be a blade that can grab the skin if you’re not super careful. I’m just wondering why you use the 7 and not a 10? No judgement at all just curious. The groom is a beautiful job. ❤

I use a 7 on a Sherbao Digital clipper. It is very safe (built like a 9 blade). I prefer a longer length so as to not cause irritation from being too short.

That's the one you recommended. Waggs bought out Shernbao. I bought the mini trimmer. 420. So which clipper with a 2 comb woukd you recommend. My dog is smaller version of this one but groomer uses 2 comb. I need her groomed every 5 weeks. 150.00. So I need to learn.

How do you keep her from getting itchy with some areas cut really short? My Shih Tzu will scratch and rub those areas that are shaved to the skin as you have done.

The sensitive areas are actually left longer than the average groomer leaves. I use a 7 or 5 blade, not a 10.

I use Igroom Squalane Care conditioner during the bath and Igroom Magic Mist as a brush out and scissoring spray. The key is being very thorough with your bath routine. Every time that you wash your dog, be sure to completely brush and comb the dog the same day all of the way to the skin. At least weekly.

I oil and clean my blades before use, but I don’t need to during use. I simply have extras to switch or remove the blades and allow them to fully cool. I don’t use coolant sprays ever.

For Mr to learn as a pet owner herd are way too heavy and cant spend hundreds. It'd just to shorten the body more during the 6 week wait. We are on number 2 but in 2 weeks so much has grown. So clipper is all I need.
