He probably censored the thing at the end with a black box because it contained personal information - a message directly to the narrator. Maybe his name. That's why he acted weird around it, looking at it for a long time but not saying anything. EDIT: this could also explain why he doesn't just come out and say what he censored. Who wants to admit their personal info appeared in a game from 1997, something that would be pretty much impossible unless something paranormal was actually happened? Another alternative is a phone number or an address that the narrator ended up going to irl but doesn't want us pursuing for whatever reason.

its not that hard to understand what i mean. the game is technically real yes, but the story of this series is scripted, the reactions to things he "doesnt know about" arent genuine, him finding the game never happened. this would be a whole different level of creepy and weird if he actually did find this unknown game released by unknown people decades ago who disguised what is pretty dark subject matter with all these obscure and intricate puzzles as a kids game. but since he made it himself specifically for a youtube series and knows how it will play out, it doesnt have that sense of genuinity

I grew up on the Playstation with games like Tomb Raider, Duke Nukem, ODT etc, and this is very reminiscent of games of that era. So much effort went into this which makes it very believable. I'm loving this, and when people say that it's fake. I don't care, you are working a lot to do this and I don't know if you are using an animation software or you built and programmed the whole thing from the ground up (if you did I hope you release it as an exe when you finish the whole thing), the thing is it's pretty well done. The acting is also cringy enough that is believable, good job man. I know you are not going to reply but I bet you are reading this, this is a really interesting way to tell a story and it needs to be recognized.

For starters they tried to make pink tool seem like it was taking time to respond to you, perhaps that someone is actually typing back and they had the thing in the quitters room being controlled on it's own. There's also other games that try to do the same haunted theme as well. So someone could easily connect the dots and say this game could be trying something similar.

The first time we realize these videos can’t be fully trusted and that our viewing experience is being tampered with in some ways. Fucking creepy as hell and also the perfect example of the unknown being far scarier than anything else - “Paul” is clearly taken aback by the item on the table but not so much that he knows definitively “the room recognized it”, so it’s not overtly shocking. What could it be?!? That question is worth far more than whatever the answer is. Love it.

Maybe it could've been censored because it was something that can't be shown on KZbin, but he didn't realize it at first. He seemed to react like it wasn't something out of the ordinary, so it could've been something like a phone number on a piece of paper. As to why he can't say why, it might just be some sort of information that he doesn't want to share right now. It'd make sense if it was personal information because of the other three things. "A big present with a sticker on it" The sticker could be someone's full name or address. "Something on a wall, in a black house" It could be the address of the house, which could be an actual address that he doesn't want to share. "Written on a chalkboard" It could be someone's name, address, phone number, etc. Since it's something written down, it could be any of those things. There is also the possibility that Paul isn't the one uploading these videos at this point. Though earlier points indicated that he is interacting with the audience, he hasn't acknowledged us in a while. These may have been uploaded afterwards, maybe by Paul who now is in contact with someone with authority, that may want him to not share the information. It could also be an entirely different person that ended up with the footage. Maybe something happened to Paul, so someone else has taken up the task of uploading the rest of the videos. There's a lot of possibilities as to why he wouldn't want to share the reason other than "he's just trying to keep it spooky."

I have a question I haven't seen anyone asking yet: how do they _know_ about the things that will be censored in the future? The text says "Some other things we're _expecting_ to censor", as though they (whoever "they" are, now we know this involves more than just Paul) have an idea, but aren't certain, that the things they're expecting to show up will actually show up. What I find even more interesting though is that they don't say anything about WHAT will show up, but instead have an idea of WHERE they will be. I also wonder if Paul is really the one uploading these- the first video was the only one with a description saying simply "The game I found"- even then, he was clearly addressing someone in particular, not a general audience. Either he uploaded only the first one and then started tailoring future recordings more to the person he was addressing, or he never meant to upload any of them, and someone else uploaded them posing as him. The "we" might not include Paul at all.

I’m surprised I have yet to see anyone speak about this but I think that the imagery of picking at the flowers and removal of Care’s eyebrows have something to do with trichotillomania and Care using picking at her eyebrows as relief from the abuse she endures on behalf of Marvin. When Paul puts Care with Mike’s eyebrows into the child library compendium I think what was pictured was his childhood bedroom, not his as Carrie Marks but his as Paul Leskowitz; the one he remembers. Paul now has eyebrows due to blocking out his trauma and becoming a different person as opposed to the eyebrowless broken and anxiety-ridden Carrie Mark that he once was.

I posted this theory on ScareTheater'a video and I want to share my own theory here too. With such an amazing series, I feel it's necessary to learn about all the details implimented within the game: "I have actually been doing more reasearch on the whole Petscop game and I uncovered some more themes of child abuse within the game as well as further connections with the Candance Newmarker case as well as chil abuse in general. The first connection I would like to bring up is the most solid of connections, which is the reference to the creator of rebirthing therpay, Leonard Orr. In the game there is diolouge that states something along the lines of "you were sitting in the bath tub thinking of her". When Orr originally came up with the idea of rebirthing therpay, he was sitting in the bath tub. This makes the connection with the Candance Newmarker case much stronger. It is also to note that Tool in both it's red and pink forms does resemble a stylized upside-down vagina and uterus, both organs combined, which is where babies are born and the very thing being recreated with flannel and pillows in rebirthing therapy. It is also no surpise that Tool changes to pink, which is often the color that biological female sex organs are described as. Vaginas/uteruses are also pretty pointless organs other than being a "tool" in the process of both reproduction and child-birth. Perhaps having Tool guide the player through the game is symbolic of the player dying in their own rebirthing therapy session, hence why the player has so many questions for the vagina/uterus concerning their own death and where they are. The last connection is a bit more of a stretch admittly, but it may explain how Care is as a mother and why she has shaved eyebrows. In ancient Egypt, if a cat died the whole household would shave their eyebrows in greif. While there have not been any cases of abusive mothers treating their child like a cat, they do have cases of children being treated like dogs and animals in general by abusive mothers. Maybe to connect with the whole "pet" theme Care treated her child like a pet, and upon feeling the guilt after her child died from all the mistreatment shaved her eyebrows as a sign of grief. I know it's a bit of a reach, but perhaps the player catching all the pets is symbolic of the treatment Care's child went through as a "pet" before ultimately dying of mistreatment. The player is not only working through their own mistreatment in the afterlife, but the player is also trying to avenge their friend's mistreatment by Care as that their friend can cross over to the otherside in peace too."

After watching later episodes, I noticed something that could be important. It might not be, though. But just hear out my idea. If you're not already aware, events that occur in the second version of Even Care/the Gift Plane are directly connected to the Newmaker Plane, activating events and such. In Petscop 9, after Paul enters this second version of Even Care, running on the treadmill and changing the counter to -1 allows Paul to catch Care NLM. This is because the treadmill was directly connected to the daisy in a sort of "they love me, they love me not" sort of way. In the same sense, we see in Petscop 10 that the cage doors in the alternate Even Care area (where Amber would have been) effect the doorways to the Quitter's Room and its reflection. In this episode (Petscop 7), the girl reflection of Paul's character disappears while the strange music plays. I believe this is an audio queue, and if Paul can get this event to happen again while having both Quitter's Rooms opened up, maybe Paul will have to run over to the reflection of the Quitter's Room as soon as the music begins playing. Reaching the other side before the song ends may possibly allow Paul to interact with the girl reflection, enter a new area, or receive some new item. It seems like the music gives the player enough time to leave one side and reach the other, and Paul could not accomplish this task in this episode because the entrance to the opposite side was locked. This is just a theory, though. Not a critical, game-changing idea, but just something that popped into my head.

So there are three characters playing this game at three different times in real-time but at the same time, game time or at least two people have been copied into the game / trapped in the game. The three are Paul, Tiara and Marvin. The game was made for Marvin by Rainier, perhaps as a punishment for his abusive actions in real life as a father and teacher. They all see themselves as Naul, the avatar. However, they appear different to other players. Marvin has a green blob for a head. Tiara has a white child drawing for a head (this avatar reminds Marvin of someone named Belle (probably from the school he taught at)). Paul appears with a red pyramid for a head. Marvin has been in the game for so long that, he's gone mad. He gets lost on the Newmaker plane frequently, he gives other avatars music lessons, attempting to resume his career despite being trapped. The house is the key link between the players. The game has never left the house, just passed to the next occupants. Marvin, first, then Tiara, then Paul. Hence why the house has been captured at three times. The conversation Paul has with Jill a year before the most recent upload would coincide with Paul starting to play the game, thus being included in the capture that was taking place. This capture can be stopped by turning the PlayStation off but the game is designed to manipulate you (intended for Marvin) so that you don't. The demos are captures from other players, at one point a capture shows Tiara and Paul in the quitters room, both believing it to be a mirror, when in fact, it's a window. We see the scene from bother perspectives. A natural process for PlayStation games were that a demo would start playing when the controller was left inactive to stop burn-in images happening and damaging the TV screen. These demos are usually recordings stored on the disc or an AI played portion of the game, in this case the capture that is being stored from the playthroughs is being played back. So Paul sees demos from his past actions and the past actions of Marvin and Tiara at times. Also, the three captures, have assets in different places due to how they were captured at that time. Hence why certain doors are open or closed. Tiara has managed to get into the assets files and use them to communicate, like the chalkboard asset or here where she takes over the tool communicator asking Paul to help Marvin get back home.

I just realized something. When you choose the face in the childrens library, that crumbling rock sound isn't an earthquake and it isn't the building collapsing. It's the children's room changing. This would also explain why he has to wait a long time in order for anything to happen and why the noise stops when he leaves and the building remains intact.

Apparently Marvin is actually NLM's father. Remember the crying girl in the house where the flower was? well, I think the point there was to take down the flower, step by step because the girl is right beneath it so at some point before the flower crushes the girl you'll be able to save the girl, catch her and give her away to Marvin or the machine, remember that the machine just accepts kids...I think you might need to find more of those geometric shapes too, I believe that's what it meant by "1000 pieces".

I think thee game wasn't a cancelled title but one created for this purpose, and that the person doing the playthrough is acting. I know this is six years old but I HAVE A THEORY I think maybe Quitter is a past player who was punished by the entity for trying to quit. It has the same outfit and the feet. We've seen it has free will, but it can't seem to leave. It seems to have just given up in trying. I know this is probably either wrong or already said multiple times, but it's just my theory.

Not sure if anyone pointed this out or not yet but maybe the 1000 pieces the pink tool mentions are the gems he's been collecting at the start of the game and the 'machine beyond the school basement stairwell' is the furnace like machine beside the stairs he found earlier (petscop 3?). Also the house and school are the buildings from the pictures which were on top of a green grass texture like the one 'upstairs'/newmaker plane so maybe if he tries to map out the are like with the windmill and go above the furnace he might find the school (since the machine is in the basement).

At this point, the channel had become the family KZbin. We have a guess, but we never learn for sure whether or not that item is just something it might put in any other room or not. Regardless, whoever helped Paul figure out the child library's mechanics should be commended, we don't know everything about what happened here, but at least the family finished their long Easter Egg hunt and probably know the answer themselves.
