don't really know much about petscop but the whole thing about having an idea of which kid picked next (maybe one bullied and feeling alone for looking weird/not growing eyebrows/perhaps having hair loss from the stress of an abusive household). plus saying 'they walk into your schoolhouse holding your hand smiling, then come out crying into their hands because nobody can love them now' just screams csa from a teacher. tiara saying some kids can be psychologically damaged 'beyond rebirthing' also sounds like that to me... i hear people talk about that tragic candice newmaker case quite a lot, it seems like it did inspire a lot of this but i haven't seen many people talk about the (obvious to me at least) sexual abuse in this story (then again i havent seen discussion on this game for at least 5 years so i'm probably being ignorant)

i absolutely love how in this episode, the little guys walk cycle switches from these silly little sounds to realistic footsteps, it feels much more jarring in comparison and really adds to the mood imo

Rewatching this, I'm surprised people didn't realize that Petscop 11 to 24 were presented out of order sooner, since we know that the demos are replays of past player inputs and the fact that we see demos of Paul exploring the school with his piece counter being higher than he had in the house (he didn't get 394 pieces until Petscop 14), and the fact that when we cut back to the house gameplay, it literally continues right where 10:56 left off. (10:56, 16:17, 365 pieces then he collects 3 more and it's 368 pieces)
